About the Role

Starburst Data is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and delivering strategic projects that contribute to the success of Starburst and its clients. This role requires a combination of strong project management skills, technical acumen, effective communication abilities, and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.

 

As a Senior Project Manager at Starburst you will: 

  • Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring successful execution within scope, time, and budget constraints.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and sales, to drive project success.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations using highly organized working methods.
  • Identify potential risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide recommendations to the leadership team.
  • Establish clear lines of communication within the project team and with key stakeholders.
  • Provide regular project updates, status reports, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet the highest quality standards and align with Company X’s commitment to excellence.
  • Interface with clients to understand their requirements and expectations, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Drive customer adoption by ensuring delivered solutions are effectively implemented and deliver business value.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations based on industry best practices.
  • Identify new opportunities for expanding client engagement and delivering additional value.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices within the project management function.
  • Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and a proactive approach in all aspects of project delivery.

 

Some of the things we look for:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the technology sector, preferably in data analytics or related fields
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take initiative with minimal supervision
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus
