The Role
We are seeking a Lead Workplace Tech Engineer to drive innovation and excellence in workplace technology solutions for our growing organization. In this role, you will utilize strong leadership and technical expertise to design, implement, and maintain workplace technology systems, ensuring they meet the needs of our diverse and dynamic team.
As a Lead Workplace Tech Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring workplace technology solutions are robust, reliable, and future-ready. You'll be joining our Workplace Technology Team engineers in a "follow the sun" model to provide support to our global business.
What You Will Own
- Develop and maintain processes for imaging and deploying laptops and other end-user devices
- Design and implement workplace technology solutions, including AV systems, end-user devices, and IT infrastructure.
- Oversee the procurement and inventory management of workplace hardware, including servers, network equipment, laptops, peripherals, and office technology
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess technology needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance collaboration tools and employee technology experiences.
- Ensure reliable and efficient operation of workplace technology systems.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee procurement and deployment of workplace technology solutions.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies to drive innovation in workplace systems.
- Monitor and maintain system security, compliance, and performance.
- Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for complex workplace technology issues.
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes, including account provisioning, deactivation, and ensuring seamless transitions for employees.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar
- Proficiency with one or more public cloud providers such as Azure, AWS or GCP
- Exceptional, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all levels with non-technical as well as technical audiences
- Experience with setting up and managing corporate networking
- Experience with managing SSO
- O365 Tenant Administration Experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities with a positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus
- Experience coding in Python
- Jamf/Intune/MDM Experience
- Experience in Okta administration
