The Role 

We are seeking an experienced IT Asset & Operations Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of IT assets and Vendor Management, ensure efficient device deployment, and optimize enterprise IT operations. This role will report to the Director of WPT, owning all aspects of IT asset management, endpoint provisioning, security compliance, and process standardization while working cross-functionally with other departments across Starrez.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-driven, and technically adept in working with enterprise tools such as Microsoft Intune, JAMF, ServiceNow, SCCM, Office 365, Jira, and Confluence. This role is an individual contributor-focused but requires strong leadership in implementing best practices, driving efficiency, working with vendors for renewals and ensuring seamless IT service delivery.

What You Will Own 

IT Asset Lifecycle & Procurement

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.
  • Develop and enforce IT asset management policies to optimize cost, minimize risks, and maintain compliance.
  • Track and maintain asset inventory in ServiceNow, SCCM, or similar ITAM platforms.
  • Ensure cost-effective IT procurement by working closely with vendors and negotiating contracts.
  • Lead IT hardware refresh cycles, ensuring devices remain secure and up to performance standards.
  • Audit IT assets regularly to ensure compliance with financial, operational, security policies and incorporation of information from runtime asset discovery

Endpoint Deployment & Troubleshooting

  • Work with WPT for laptop imaging and deployment using Intune, JAMF, and Autopilot for Windows and macOS devices.
  • Work with WPT to Develop and improve endpoint management automation to streamline onboarding and offboarding workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and help resolve imaging issues, OS updates, and software provisioning errors.
  • Monitor and optimize device performance, ensuring endpoints meet security and operational standards.
  • Implement zero-touch provisioning strategies to improve IT efficiency.

Security, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure IT assets adhere to security policies and compliance requirements, including encryption, access controls, and patch management.
  • Work with Security to manage endpoint security solutions, MDM configurations, and vulnerability management.
  • Enforce data security policies on corporate-owned and BYOD devices.
  • Conduct regular IT audits to assess asset risks, non-compliance, and system vulnerabilities.

Process Development & Documentation

  • Develop and maintain IT documentation, including SOPs, asset tracking processes, deployment guides, and troubleshooting playbooks.
  • Standardize IT workflows to improve efficiency and scalability across asset management, device provisioning, and procurement.
  • Leverage internal systems to create and maintain IT process documentation and task tracking.

Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work daily with Cross Departmental teams to ensure smooth IT operations.
  • Manage vendor relationships for hardware/software purchases, warranties, repairs, and contracts.
  • Evaluate new vendors and technologies to improve IT asset lifecycle management.
  • Ensure timely procurement, budgeting, and cost tracking for IT asset purchases.

 

Required Qualifications

Technical Expertise

  • Strong experience with IT asset management, endpoint provisioning, and ITSM platforms.
  • Hands-on expertise in using Microsoft Intune, JAMF, Autopilot, ServiceNow, SCCM, Office 365, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows and macOS imaging, software deployment, and patch management processes/
  • Familiarity with MDM (Mobile Device Management), zero-trust security, and endpoint protection strategies.
  • Understanding of IT procurement, budgeting, and vendor management best practices.

Soft Skills & Competencies

  • Process-driven mindset with a strong ability to optimize workflows and create clear documentation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for endpoint deployment and IT asset challenges.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills, with experience working closely with HR, Finance, Procurement, and Security teams.
  • Attention to detail in asset tracking, auditing, and compliance management.
  • Ability to work independently while acting as a strategic partner to Product and Technology Leadership.
