The Role 

Wea are seeking a Team Lead to join our Professional Services team here at StarRez. As a team lead, you are responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Professional Services projects across the EMEA region. This role provides day-to-day supervision, leadership, and guidance for Professional Services delivery team members, including Project Managers, while supporting a low volume of projects during peak periods.

You will partner closely with the Sr. Manager – EMEA to ensure consistent delivery standards, regional alignment, and strong team performance. This role includes people management responsibilities focused on coaching, performance support, and day-to-day oversight of delivery team members.

 

Role Specifics 

  • Work Location: Remote (UK) 
  • Travel: 5% (The percentage of travel is an estimation and may vary depending on business need.)
  • Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Senior Manager, Professional Services.

What You Will Own 

Project Delivery and Execution

  • Act as a senior delivery resource, supporting a limited number of projects during peak demand or to mitigate delivery risk.
  • Provide support on complex or high-risk engagements as required to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Ensure delivery work aligns with StarRez implementation methodology, quality standards, and regional expectations.
  • Provide escalation support for delivery challenges, risks, or client concerns within the EMEA portfolio.
  • Maintain visibility of project health, timelines, risks, and delivery outcomes across supervised team members.

People Management and Supervision of Delivery Team Members

  • Provide day-to-day people management, supervision, and functional leadership to Professional Services delivery team members in EMEA, including Project Managers.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings focused on delivery performance, development, and wellbeing.
  • Support goal setting, ongoing feedback, and performance conversations in partnership with the Sr. Manager – EMEA.
  • Identify development needs and support skill growth through coaching and on-the-job guidance.
  • Support onboarding and ramp up of new delivery team members in the region.
  • Monitor performance, capacity, and engagement, escalating concerns or risks as appropriate.

Regional and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the Sr. Manager – EMEA to align delivery execution with regional priorities, resourcing needs, and capacity.
  • Support coordination across time zones, languages, and cultural considerations common to EMEA delivery.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Support, and other internal teams to ensure smooth handovers and aligned delivery execution.
  • Assist with supporting the services scoping process by providing delivery input and validation to help ensure adequate scope is included in delivery contracts.
  • Contribute to regional process improvements and delivery best practices.

Operational and Team Contribution

  • Monitor workload balance and delivery capacity across the team and raise risks early.
  • Share delivery insights, trends, and regional risks with the Sr. Manager – EMEA.
  • Model StarRez values and high standards of delivery in all client and internal interactions.
  • Participate in internal initiatives, programmes, or projects as assigned.

 Required Qualifications 

  • Strong experience delivering software or SaaS implementations in a Professional Services environment.
  • Prior experience leading or managing delivery-focused team members.
  • Solid understanding of project management fundamentals and delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to balance people leadership responsibilities with limited hands-on delivery.
  • Experience working across time zones and supporting regionally distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience delivering projects within the EMEA region.
  • Familiarity with higher education or housing technology environments.
  • Experience supporting multi-country or multi-language client engagements.
