The Role
As a Senior Product Designer at StarRez, you’ll take ownership of high-impact product design challenges, shaping complex operational systems into intuitive, accessible experiences used by administrators and students around the world.
You’ll work within a cross-functional product team: Product, Engineering, Design, to navigate ambiguity, uncover actionable user insights, and turn complexity into clarity. This is a high-ownership Senior independent contributor role: you’ll influence product direction within your domain, elevate design quality across initiatives, and help mature a growing global design practice.

What You Will Own
- Own the end-to-end product design for a defined product area, shaping its longer-term direction in partnership with Product and Engineering.
- Lead complex initiatives from discovery through delivery, translating multi-role, data-rich workflows into intuitive, scalable, and accessible experiences.
- Contribute to roadmap direction within your domain through continuous discovery, regularly engaging customers and stakeholders to uncover insights, reduce risk, and inform priorities.
- Define clear hypotheses and success metrics with Product, using research, experimentation, customer feedback, and usage data to validate decisions and iterate based on real-world outcomes.
- Work iteratively, shipping improvements in stages and refining solutions through live customer feedback and measurable impact.
- Strengthen the broader product experience by contributing to our design system and embedding accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.2 AA) in collaboration with Engineering.
- Influence stakeholders through structured thinking and clear communication, and raise the bar for design quality through critique, shared standards, and informal mentorship.
- Actively leverage AI-powered workflows embedded in our design practice to accelerate exploration, iteration, and problem solving.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience designing complex SaaS or B2B digital products.
- Demonstrated experience delivering measurable product or business impact.
- Strong systems thinking and experience working across interconnected workflows or multi-role platforms.
- Proficiency in interaction design, information architecture, and high-fidelity execution.
- Experience leading discovery efforts and synthesizing insights into actionable product decisions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate design rationale clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience partnering closely with Engineering to ensure high-quality implementation.
- A strong sense of shared ownership, you care about outcomes, not just deliverables.
- Ability to balance speed with rigor, making thoughtful decisions grounded in research, data, and sound judgment.
- Solid understanding of how product decisions connect to customer value and business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in scale-ups or growth-stage product environments.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards, testing tools, and assistive technologies.
- Exposure to AI-enabled workflows, automation, or design-to-development optimisation practices.
