The Role
StarRez is seeking a Product Owner based out of the UK to join the College Pads team.

This is not a typical Product Owner role. You’ll help evolve a high visibility, customer-facing platform, partnering closely with cross-functional teams across the UK, US, and India.

You’ll translate product direction into high-quality delivery, owning the backlog, driving day-to-day execution, and helping the team make sound trade-offs across customer value, business impact, speed, scope, and risk. You’ll operate in a fast-moving, AI-first environment, and play an active role in validating solutions with customers and stakeholders across markets.

Role Details

  • Work Location: Remote (UK)
  • Travel: 5% (The percentage of travel is an estimation and may vary based on business needs.)
  • Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Principal Product Manager.

What You’ll Do

  • Own product delivery: Translate product direction into clear, actionable work and own backlog refinement, sprint planning, day-to-day execution, and release readiness.
  • Turn strategy into shipped product: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to break priorities into deliverable increments and make clear trade-offs across customer value, business impact, speed, scope, and risk.
  • Validate with customers: Work with universities, students, and internal stakeholders to test solutions, gather feedback, and incorporate insights into product decisions.
  • Drive measurable outcomes: Keep the team focused on improvements to acquisition, conversion, engagement, and business outcomes rather than simply delivering features.
  • Operate AI-first: Use AI to improve requirements, acceptance criteria, scenario planning, prototyping, research synthesis, and product collaboration.
  • Enable effective multi-market delivery: Work across UK, US, and India teams while accounting for customer, market, release, and communication differences.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Analyst, or similar role, with strong backlog management, prioritization, and the ability to translate product direction into clear, actionable requirements
  • Experience working across multiple markets or regions, with an understanding of how customer needs, market differences, release considerations, and stakeholder expectations can influence product delivery
  • Experience across B2B and B2C products, or within a B2B2C or other multi-sided product environment
  • Experience working directly with customers or users to validate needs, test solutions, and incorporate feedback into product decisions
  • Experience partnering closely with Engineering and Design to shape solutions, navigate constraints, and make informed trade-offs
  • Demonstrated use of AI to improve aspects of the product development lifecycle
  • Clear and confident communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively across geographically distributed teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with marketplace, listings, PropTech, ILS-style, or other multi-sided products
  • Understanding of integrations, ecosystem dependencies, and how a marketplace or platform creates value and monetizes
  • Background in scale-ups or high-growth environments

Reasons to join our Team:

  • Opportunity to be a part of a well-established, high-performance company that has been in business for over 30+ years
  • A supportive team environment with emphasis on learning and development opportunities
  • Our Promise: You will learn, grow, and be appreciated for your impact and contributions.
  • Z-Factor: Our most celebrated value, you will work with a team of caring, high-performing, and passionate people who have fun supporting our vision, innovation, and continuous improvement.

StarRez is an equal opportunity employer.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

An "Armed forces service medal veteran" means a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
