About the Role:
StarTree is a leading provider of real-time data analytics platform, empowering businesses to make data-driven decisions. The Product team is responsible for creating, delivering and capturing value with cloud-ready StarTree products (powered by Apache Pinot). This role offers a lot of opportunities to make an impact, so while there are basic guidelines of responsibilities, out-of-the-box ideas and initiatives are highly welcomed and encouraged.
We are seeking a talented and experienced Product Manager to lead the development and growth of our StarTree ThirdEye product, an advanced anomaly detection and monitoring platform.
Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy and Vision:
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for StarTree ThirdEye.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Define and prioritize product features, enhancements, and roadmaps.
- Product Development:
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and data science teams to deliver high-quality product releases.
- Write detailed product requirements and user stories.
- Ensure timely delivery of product features and updates.
- Customer Focus:
- Engage with customers to understand their use cases, pain points, and feedback.
- Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to gather insights.
- Advocate for customer needs within the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure product alignment with business goals.
- Develop go-to-market strategies and product positioning.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on product features and benefits.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Define and track key product metrics to measure success and inform decision-making.
- Analyze usage data, customer feedback, and market trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct A/B testing and experiments to validate hypotheses and optimize features.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Communicate product status, updates, and key decisions to stakeholders.
- Prepare and present product roadmaps, progress reports, and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the data analytics or enterprise software space.
- Strong understanding of anomaly detection, monitoring, and data analytics technologies.
- Experience with machine learning and data science concepts is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing complex software products.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with open-source software development.
- Knowledge of the real-time and big data ecosystem, including technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Apache Pinot and Kafka.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
The base salary range for this US full-time position is $150,000 - $200,000, subject to standard withholding and applicable taxes. Additionally, new hires receive competitive and compelling equity grants, and access to a comprehensive benefits offering. The base salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for candidates. The Salary and Equity compensation offered may vary depending on factors including: location, skills, experience, and the assessment process.
