We are hiring an Enterprise Account Director to join our team in Washington, DC. This is a senior role that owns the success and growth of our largest accounts. You will build relationships with the executives who run government affairs and policy, find the problems that matter most to them, and turn our product, data, and people into solutions that generate value for their organizations and for State Affairs.
As an Enterprise Account Director, you will:
- Own retention and expansion targets for a portfolio of our most strategic enterprise accounts.
- Build and own trusted relationships with C-level and senior government affairs and policy leaders.
- Understand each customer's hardest problems and marshal our product, data, and people to solve them as a trusted partner.
- Grow accounts across seats, products, and services, and get ahead of accounts at risk.
- Lead executive business reviews that demonstrate the ROI we deliver.
- Onboard and train clients so they’re successful and see value from day one.
- Turn strong relationships into advocacy including case studies and warm referrals.
- Build the playbooks and frameworks that scale as the team and book grows.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to turn customer feedback and insights into new features, products, and pricing structures
Essential Qualifications for this position include:
- 8+ years of professional work experience expanding enterprise accounts, with a track record of carrying a number and exceeding growth targets.
- Ability to build executive relationships and earn influence across complex organizations.
- Ability to follow-through work items with urgency, and attention to detail.
- Ability to produce sharp, client-ready presentations and documents with a compelling narrative.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly with executive stakeholders.
- Knowledge of commercial enterprise and ability to understand a customer's P&L
- Knowledge and interest in using AI tools to work faster and go deeper.
- Ability to travel as needed, including client visits and industry conferences.
Preferred Qualifications for this position include:
- Prior professional work experience with clients in public policy, government affairs, or a regulated sector.
- Prior professional work experience in a startup or high-growth technology company.
- Prior professional work experience in management consulting or other strategic fields.
This is an in office work opportunity and our teams operate from the Washington, DC office located at L and 15th St. NW five days per week. State Affairs offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package to employees.
The annual compensation range for this role as it is posted is $200,000 to $250,000 (on target earnings) for candidates working from the State Affairs office in Washington, DC. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
