Role
We are seeking a mission-driven Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our founding Nashville team, enabling Steadfast Health to deliver comprehensive, non-punitive, whole-person SUD care to our diverse patient population. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage SUDs and associated comorbidities, embodying the Steadfast patient-first ethos.
- Collaborate with all clinic-level team members to formulate and execute patient care plans, including Medical Assistants, Peer Recovery Specialists, and Therapists.
- Provide expert compassion and patient-centered advocacy through the application of Motivational Interviewing principles.
- Practice up-to-date, life-saving, cutting-edge SUD therapies with close guidance, oversight and mentorship from specialty-trained addiction experts.
- Pioneer novel ways of improving access and overall care for disadvantaged, marginalized populations.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care by creating a warm and welcoming environment, fostering trust and strong relationships with patients and communities.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a proactive attitude in adapting to diverse patient needs and situations.
- Continuously seek out new knowledge and stay informed on new medical advancements, maintaining a lifelong learning mindset to deliver the best care possible.

Qualifications
- NP (FNP, AGNP, PMHNP preferred) or PA-C (Internal, Family, Emergency Medicine experience preferred), licensed in the state of Tennessee.
- Comprehensive medical and/or psychiatric evaluation and management experience in substance use disorder treatment, preferably in an outpatient setting.
- Strong knowledge of SUD diagnoses, medications, and treatment modalities.
- Ability to effectively interact with diverse staff, patients, and community members.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible, can-do mentality, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during patient care, consultations, and administrative tasks.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate medical instruments, computers, keyboards, and other standard clinic equipment.
- Ability to hear and respond to patient needs, staff communications, and audible clinical alerts, with or without assistive devices.
- Visual acuity sufficient to assess patient condition, read medical charts, review test results, and operate clinical equipment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and team members, both in person and through electronic/telephone systems.
- Occasional lifting, positioning, or moving of patients and/or medical equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to navigate and move within clinic spaces, including exam rooms, offices, and common areas.
- Ability to respond promptly to emergency situations, which may require rapid mobility and physical intervention in support of patient safety.
