Remote Clinical Supervisor - Part-Time

Greensboro, North Carolina; Raleigh, North Carolina; Winston-Salem, North Carolina

At Steadfast Health we’re a on a mission to deliver hope, healing, and long-term health to those experiencing substance use disorder, through best-in-class addiction treatment and an unwavering belief that lasting recovery comes from partnering with our patients as respected equals in their care journey. We’re a passionate team striving to raise the standard of compassionate care for our patients, and we know that to do that, we must care for our people first. We’d love to meet you and tell you about what we’re building!

This Role

We are seeking a mission-driven Behavioral Health Supervisor to provide remote, board-approved clinical supervision to our associate-level clinicians in North Carolina. This is a part-time, fully remote, non-client-facing role. You will not carry a clinical caseload. Your focus is developing our clinicians.

At Steadfast Health, we believe clinicians shouldn’t have to choose between patient-centered work and their own mental and financial wellbeing. Our integrated, evidence-based behavioral health model supports both patients and clinicians with compassionate, expert clinical guidance, caseloads that prioritize quality over quantity, generous and flexible time off, and financial investment in professional development.

As a supervisor here, you will have real influence over how our supervision practices and clinical culture take shape in North Carolina.

Required Licensure & Supervisory Credential

Because this role provides board-approved clinical supervision to associate-level clinicians, candidates must hold both an active, independent North Carolina clinical license and the supervisory credential recognized by that license’s board. You must hold at least one of the following:

  • LCMHCS (NC), the NC Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors’ supervisor credential, required to supervise LCMHC Associates (LCMHCA). An LCMHC license alone, without the LCMHCS credential, does not qualify.
  • LMFT (NC) who is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, required to supervise LMFT Associates (LMFTA).

  • Be available for clinical consultation on complex cases and crisis situations, and support decisions about coordinating higher levels of care.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director, Peer Supervisor, Facility Administrator or Operations Director, and Clinical Operations leadership to align clinical care and operational goals.
  • Maintain all required supervision documentation, contracts, and reporting per NC board standards.
  • Support clinician growth toward full licensure.

Qualifications

  • Active, independent North Carolina clinical licensure with a board-recognized supervisory credential, as detailed above
  • Prior experience providing clinical supervision remotely is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of SUD diagnoses, medications, and treatment modalities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust and work effectively with diverse staff.
  • Passion for Steadfast Health’s mission to provide low-barrier, non-punitive, harm-reduction-oriented SUD care.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while participating in video sessions, meetings, and documentation work.
  • Frequent use of hands for typing and handling documentation.
  • Sufficient visual and auditory ability to communicate effectively by video and review documentation.
  • Work may involve discussing high-stress clinical situations and requires emotional resilience and sound judgment.
  • Schedules reflect current anticipated needs and may evolve as the organization grows.
