Demand Generation Manager

United States (Remote)

Steer offers a suite of software tools for today's automotive repair shop. We combine a mix of software tools that a repair shop needs to run a highly profitable shop, in one user-friendly, cost-effective platform. Through the Steer suite, we allow the shop owner to get back to focusing on what matters, and to stop worrying about marketing and customer retention.

Steer began as an online directory for drivers to find a local mechanic. Fast forward to today, Steer has launched a complete Customer Relationship Management (CRM) marketing suite, complete with text messaging, email automation, direct mail integration, reputation management, appointment reminders, declined/recommended services, and many other features. We are always innovating and we are proud to be a leader in the automotive repair industry.  In August 2024 Steer acquired AutoOps - the leader in modern, intelligent, and fully integrated scheduling software for auto repair shops. AutoOps allows customers to smoothly schedule through a shop's website and Google Business Profile.

About the Role

Steer is scaling its inbound and demand generation engine to support aggressive growth goals. We are hiring a hands-on Demand Generation Manager to own the execution, experimentation, and reporting of inbound programs.

In this role, you will turn marketing activity into a qualified pipeline for auto repair shops. You’ll live in HubSpot, launch campaigns daily, and partner with sales to ensure lead quality is high. This is a high-impact, outcomes-oriented role for an operator who loves connecting CRM data to real-world revenue results.

You Are

  • A High-Ownership Operator: You love to build, test, and ship. You prefer moving fast and iterating over waiting for perfection.
  • Data-Driven: You are energized by seeing your work hit the revenue dashboard and are comfortable connecting messaging to outcomes.
  • Agile: You thrive in a fast-paced, "build-as-you-go" environment and can handle multiple experiments per sprint.

You Will

  • Execute Inbound & Demand: Own the day-to-day execution of multi-channel campaigns across paid, organic, CRM, and content.
  • Optimize the Funnel: Build and refine landing pages, forms, CTAs, and nurture flows within HubSpot to maximize conversion.
  • Run Continuous Experiments: Launch multiple new experiments per sprint, testing offers, messaging, channels, and formats.
  • Produce Content That Converts: Help manage the production of practical, "shop-owner-first" tools, including short videos, case studies, benchmark reports, and educational guides.
  • Partner with Sales: Work closely with BDRs to assess lead quality, align campaigns to real-world objections, and tighten feedback loops.
  • Track & Report: Maintain visible dashboards (HubSpot) to track leads generated, CPL, conversion rates, and pipeline lift.

You Have

Must Have:

  • 4–8 years of experience in Demand Gen, Growth, or Performance Marketing.
  • Expert-level HubSpot skills: Deep experience managing funnels and automated workflows.
  • B2B SaaS Experience: Proven history of hitting pipeline targets (SMB or Vertical SaaS experience is a major plus).
  • Channel Expertise: Solid experience in Meta, Google Ads, and CRM marketing.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the automotive or service industry.
  • Strong copywriting skills for segmented, high-conversion messaging.

Interview Process

  1. Initial Screen – 30 min
  2. Cross-Collaborative Interview – 45 min
  3. Hiring Manager Interview – 45 min
  4. Career Journey & Executive Interview – 60 min & 30 min
  5. Reference Checks

We Offer

  • 100% Remote: Work from anywhere.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: 100% employer-paid medical insurance.
  • Financial Growth: Equity package and 401(k).
  • Time Off: Flexible PTO (15-day minimum) and Parental Leave.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
