The Opportunity 

We are seeking a qualified accountant to serve as Financial Controller providing personal financial support to the founder of a global international law firm. This is a unique opportunity to provide high-level financial management and strategic support for complex personal financial structures, working directly with the senior partner in a fully remote capacity. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Financial Management & Reporting 

  • Oversee personal financial operations across multiple entities, including trusts and estate planning structures
  • Maintain accurate financial records and produce regular reporting on assets, liabilities, and cash flow
  • Coordinate inter-entity transfers and ensure proper documentation and compliance
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts across various entities and jurisdictions 

Operational Support 

  • Manage bill payment processes and vendor relationships
  • Track and organize investment holdings and related documentation
  • Coordinate with external advisors including wealth managers, attorneys, and tax professionals
  • Maintain organized financial filing systems and ensure document retention protocols 

Strategic Partnership 

  • Provide proactive financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Anticipate financial management needs and develop solutions independently
  • Serve as trusted partner on confidential and sensitive financial matters 

Qualifications: 

  • Qualified accountant (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification)
  • 5-8 years of accounting experience, preferably including family office, private wealth, or high-net-worth client service
  • Strong understanding of trust structures, estate planning entities, and multi-entity accounting
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • High degree of discretion and ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with accounting software and financial management platforms
