The Team Lead, Verification & QA is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities for the Verification and Quality Assurance teams. A key responsibility will be to ensure staffing is aligned for near term and future business to support the labor requirements delivering quality assurance and on-time shipments. This role will work cross-functionally with other business teams to develop short and long-term growth strategies.
What you'll do
- Supervise and train the Verification and Quality Assurance team members for the overall operations of these areas
- Lead improvement activities for Verification and Quality Assurance and will also support continuous improvement
- Prepare standardized work procedures and facilitate effective communication
- Develop training documents and SOPs and facilitate training for respective departments
- Provide Quality and Performance metrics for team members
- Communicating metrics to leaders and holding individuals accountable
- Establish team member staffing to meet the daily business demands, quality, and productivity targets
- Ensure accurate and on-time fulfillment and shipment of all customer orders
- Analyze production metrics and recommend process and system improvements to increase quality and lower cost
- Supervise and train the Verification and Quality Assurance teams to optimize quality, productivity, and costs
- Create, maintain and foster a safe and team-based work environment
- Provide reporting on key performance metrics
- Work cross-functionally with all departments to identify, develop and execute on process improvements
- Reporting on Quality metrics to leadership weekly
- Conduct deep dive analysis to identify misses and bridge gaps
About you
- 2-4 years of work experience in Verification or Operations or 2-4 years of work experience in retail or retail operations
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, operations, or a related field preferred
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate team members
- Ability to manage large workloads and prioritize tasks
- Advanced subject matter knowledge in warehouse operations
- Confident in making independent decisions and owning the outcomes
- Comfortable strategizing, managing processes, and executing
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, and the ability to build trust and consensus amongst a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Slack, and other common basic office software
- Strong knowledge of sneakers/streetwear/apparel/accessories across major brands
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate team members
- Strong organizational skills and experience with strategizing and delegating tasks
- The sense of urgency to perform tasks to timelines
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude are a must
- Ability to work well in teams and good communication skills
Nice-to-have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- On site warehouse experience preferred
Working conditions
- The Verification Center is a warehouse environment with working conditions found in a typical warehouse setting. Closed toed and closed heel shoes are required. Team members in this environment will be required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, turn, and pivot more than 75% of the time.
- May push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds (or 23kg); on occasion a team-lift of up to 100 pounds (or 45kg) and may be required to bend, twist, kneel and squat regularly.
- This role may require you to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like on a frequent basis depending on site location.
