Let's start with the role

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to oversee the phases of all construction projects and all building-related activities. You will be responsible for maintaining the good condition of our building infrastructure and ensuring that facilities are safe and well functioning, aligned with the needs of the organisation and its employees. You will also provide a problem-free and secure working environment so that employees can operate under the best conditions and manage a varied workload, make quick decisions, and possess key technical knowledge of building services.

Responsibilities 

• Managing refurbishments, renovations, expansions and office moves to ensure they all run smoothly and according to plan;
• Overseeing and agreeing contracts and providers of services including construction, maintenance, parking, cleaning and furnishing; 
• Supervising multi-disciplinary teams of staff including cleaning, maintenance;
• Ensuring that basic facilities, such as water and heating, are well-maintained;
• Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness;
• Allocating and managing office space efficiently;
• Ensuring compliance with all safety and security protocols;
• Keeping logs and drafting relevant reports;
• Coordinating building and office repairs;
• Collaborating and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external contractors;
• Maintaining adequate parts inventory and assets management logs.

Requirements 

• 3+ years’ experience in facilities management roles in a fast paced environment;
• Knowledge of basic project management processes and tools;
• Strong understanding of logistics management;
• Well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Excellent project management skills;
• Fluency in English.
