Stone Kite is a world building studio that thoughtfully develops heroic universes across games, film, TV, comics, audio, and more. Built by veterans from game and entertainment studios such as Marvel, Disney, Pixar, Bungie, and Riot, our team leverages expertise and passion to build worlds that matter.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Producer to lead production across all stages of game development, from incubation and conception to product development. You’ll build and refine workflows, align milestones, and keep cross-discipline teams moving smoothly in order to meet and exceed company goals. The ideal candidate will have a background and interest in production across multiple forms of media, and utilize their game expertise to impact team and studio efficiency, communication, and culture.
This is a senior-level role with broad influence and responsibility. You’ll partner closely with the Game Director and department leads, and may manage direct reports as the studio grows.
This role can be based in the Seattle, WA region or at our headquarters in Santa Monica, CA.
What You’ll Do:
Team Process, Workflow, and Culture
- Design and lead team initiatives and rituals for planning, feedback, and coordination.
- Manage co-development and external contractor processes, including contracts, invoices, and deliverables.
- Monitor team health, performance, and morale, and support culture through team-building
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration and regularly present progress to leadership.
- Optimize cross-functional collaboration by establishing and upholding workflows, create communication best practices, and facilitate cross-department progress
- Represent the game team’s goals and progress to other groups including studio leadership and external stakeholders
- Participate in brainstorms and playtests, providing structured, actionable feedback.
- Direct team efficiency and be the guardian for best practices, including good meeting hygiene; start and stop times, establishing clear agendas, and ensuring notes are made available.
- Ensure alignment within the team, product, and company goals provided by the game director and other company leadership.
Production Planning
- Establish and refine production processes, workflows, and tools (Slack, Trello, etc.) that enable the team to thrive.
- Partner with the Game Director on budgets, calendars, and production metrics.
- Oversee milestone planning, schedules, and risk management across disciplines.
- Maintain any project or production stakeholder relationships
What You’ll Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in a production role (producer, product manager, project manager) is required
- 3+ years in game development with at least one shipped title is required
- Proven track record leading cross-functional teams across disciplines (art, design, engineering, etc.).
- Experience managing both internal developers and external partners (outsourcing or co-dev).
- Strong background building and reinforcing team priorities, workflows, and systems that improve delivery and velocity.
- Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Trello, Asana, etc.).
- Passion to take initiative and problem solve
- Experience in a production or project management role across publishing, media, entertainment, or transmedia is a plus
- Familiarity with small or start-up studios is a plus
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work both autonomously and in a small creative group
- Excellent communication and feedback skills with a passion for quality and excellence
- Ability to adapt and problem solve in a fast-paced startup environment

The expected salary range for this position is $150,000 - $185,000 annually. The compensation package will also include a range of generous medical, dental, vision and other perks & benefits. Compensation decisions are determined using a variety of job-related factors such as skill set, geographic location, market demands, experience, and education / certifications.
