Sales Development Representative - Newbook

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a critical role in supporting the sales team at Newbook, Storable’s newest acquisition, by conducting business development activities. The primary focus of this role is to generate qualified leads, engage prospects, and facilitate the sales process through cold calling, lead qualification, appointment setting, and market mapping. The SDR will contribute to the overall sales pipeline and drive revenue growth for the organization.

What you will do:

  • Lead Generation: Conduct outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, email outreach, and social media engagement, to identify and generate leads for the sales team.
  • Qualifying Leads: Assess the viability and potential of leads through effective questioning and qualification techniques to determine their fit for Newbook's products and services.
  • Appointment Setting: Schedule qualified appointments and product demonstrations for the sales team, ensuring that prospects have a clear understanding of the value proposition.
  • Market Mapping: Research and analyse target markets, industries, and verticals to identify new business opportunities and support sales strategies.
  • Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospect interactions, activities, and opportunities in Salesforce
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team, sharing insights and feedback from prospect interactions to refine sales strategies and messaging.
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team with administrative tasks, such as preparing sales collateral, drafting proposals, and managing follow-up activities.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and product knowledge to effectively communicate Newbook's value proposition to prospects.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including the number of qualified leads generated, appointments set, and conversion rates.

What you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and build rapport with prospects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Resilience and persistence to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude in a high-volume outbound calling environment.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Self-motivated and driven individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to assess prospect needs and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage and track prospect interactions and opportunities.
  • Basic knowledge of sales techniques and understanding of the sales cycle.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving sales environment.

Measures of success:

  • Quantity and quality of leads generated for the sales team.
  • Number of qualified appointments scheduled and attended by the sales team.
  • Conversion rates from leads to opportunities or closed deals.
  • Accurate and timely reporting of activity data in Salesforce 
  • Contribution to the overall sales pipeline and revenue growth.
  • Positive feedback from the sales team regarding the quality and alignment of leads generated.
  • Continuous personal and professional development in sales skills and product knowledge.
