We are seeking a highly motivated Payments Migration Specialist (Contract) to lead customers' transition from independent sales organizations (ISOs) and third-party gateways to our integrated payments solution on a vertical SaaS platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in payment processing, ISOs, and merchant account management, as well as experience with SaaS platforms and the technical requirements of migrating payment systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Payment Migrations: Execute the migration of customers from legacy ISOs and third-party gateways to the integrated payments product on our vertical SaaS platform.
- Customer Consultation: Collaborate with clients to understand their existing payment processes and create tailored migration plans that minimize downtime and ensure a seamless transition.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders such as product, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as the main point of contact during the migration process, maintaining strong relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and future sales opportunities.
- Merchant Statement Analysis: Upon request, review merchant statements and generate proposals keeping effective costs the same post-migration while ensuring Storable margin.
Qualifications:
- Sales & Payments Expertise: 3+ years of experience in a sales or customer success role within the payments or SaaS industry, with direct experience in managing migrations from ISOs or third-party gateways to integrated payment systems.
- ISO and Gateway Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of ISOs, payment gateways, and merchant account services, with the ability to clearly explain the benefits of switching to an integrated SaaS platform.
- Customer-Focused Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, explain technical concepts, and manage customer expectations.
- Technical Understanding: Familiarity with API-based payment integrations and basic understanding of the technical aspects of payment processing.
- Contractor Mentality: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and deliver results on a project basis.
- Knowledge of Compliance Standards: Familiarity with PCI-DSS compliance, security standards, and industry regulations related to payment processing.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with vertical SaaS solutions, especially in industries such as healthcare, real estate, or legal services.
- Familiarity with modern payment gateways and processors, including Stripe, PayPal, and Adyen.
- Experience with API-based integration, data migration tools, and CRM platforms.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience preferred.
Contract Details:
- This is a contract position with a flexible duration, based on migration project timelines and customer needs.
- Remote role with occasional in-person meetings or travel, as required.
- Compensation will be project-based, with potential for performance incentives.
