Senior SDET

Hyderabad, Telangana, India

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our AI team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and enhancing our testing frameworks, automating the testing processes, and ensuring the quality and security of our AI-driven products. This is not a typical QA role; we are looking for a Quality Engineer who can design and implement automated testing solutions within CI/CD pipelines and has a deep understanding of endpoint, black box, and integration testing.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.

  2. Conduct endpoint testing, black box testing, and integration testing to ensure the quality and reliability of AI products.

  3. Design, develop, and integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines to achieve continuous integration and continuous delivery/test cycles.

  4. Work collaboratively with the development team to understand product architectures and features, and design robust, scalable, and high-quality test solutions.

  5. Apply a deep understanding of AI models to develop and execute testing strategies for AI guardrails, ensuring products operate safely and efficiently under various conditions.

  6. Proactively identify areas of weaknesses in the product and suggest improvements in product features, reliability, and security.

  7. Emulate the mindset of a "breaker" to identify vulnerabilities, aiming to expose potential points of failure or security risk in the system.

  8. Collaborate with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and create a comprehensive test strategy.

  9. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in software testing and AI technology, and apply this knowledge to improve testing strategies.

**Qualifications:**

  1. 5+years of experience as an SDET, Software Engineer, or in a similar role with a strong emphasis on automated testing and quality engineering.

  2. Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.

  3. Strong experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit).

  4. In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipelines such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.

  5. Experience with testing AI models or applications, including understanding AI security, bias, and performance-related testing.

  6. Demonstrated ability to perform black-box and gray-box testing as well as possess a deep understanding of integration testing.

  7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about systems and solutions.

  8. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

**Desirable Skills:**

  1. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and understanding of AI/ML services offered by them.

  2. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

  3. Understanding of data privacy and security compliance standards.

  4. Prior experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
