About the Senior HRBP Position:

This is a fully on-site position in our Union City, Georgia location.

The Senior HRBP is responsible for aligning business objectives with our People strategy for our Fulfillment Center in Union City, GA. The Senior HRBP will serve as a strategic partner to Fulfillment Operations leadership. This partnership will be key to driving both the business and the people, with 2-way communication of expectations and priorities. This partnership is about cross-collaboration and relationship building to fuel growth for the evolving needs of Stord specifically at ATL in consistency with the entire Stord network.

This position will be part of the 1P (First-Party Fulfillment) People team, supporting the 1PL/fulfillment center in Atlanta, partnering with Supply Chain leadership to ensure Stord excellence and culture at ATL that aligns with the other facilities. 

Expectations:

The Senior HRBP will work with the People team, Operations Leadership and other key stakeholders to develop programs that will continually elevate the caliber and value of Stord with a specific focus on the Supply Chain operations. They will lead a local team for enabling the multi-faceted people needs of this scaling building. Expected outcomes include: 

  • Be an expert on the fulfillment operations side of the business to be able to serve as a strategic thought partner on all people best-in-class strategies and initiatives centered around operations, management, and strategic priorities
  • Create, iterate on and maintain policies to ensure optimum, consistent operations including attendance policies, employee handbooks, security policies, management training, and other initiatives for continuous improvement 
  • Anticipate business needs, think proactively, and respond quickly and appropriately 
  • Be an active advocate for the People side of the business working hand-in-hand with 1P leadership (Site Leader, Operations Managers, Area Managers) to drive business priorities while also upholding the People strategy
  • Supervise People Operations HR Coordinator as an empowered advocate for local concerns and issues, seeking opportunities for improvement with you as their escalation and support
  • Manage and guide HR Coordinator on sensitive work-related issues in the areas of conflict resolution, performance management, interpretation of company policy, culture and values, job mapping, leave accommodations, and other employment-related topics with an emphasis on self-advocacy (with you as their escalation and support)
  • As part of the onsite People team, collaborate closely with the entire People team to drive positive outcomes across a wide variety of people initiatives (training, development, performance management, engagement, benefits management, labor planning) 
  • Advise 1P Leadership on best practices and strategic approaches for leveraging our tools and people processes to maximize employee performance, achieve organizational effectiveness, improve employee engagement and ensure legal compliance. Empower People Operations Coordinator in local execution of these initiatives 
  • Analyze people data and understand trends to proactively provide solutions that support our business objectives, adherence to policy and cultural values
  • With the collaborative participation of the People Operations Coordinator, develop plans to promote an inclusive environment that is engaging, enabling and energizing, and one where our associates can thrive.

What You'll Do:

Serve as the main HR contact and employee advocate for Atlanta Fulfillment Center for all HR support and opportunities:

  • Manage Day to Day HR Operational Functions including performance management, tracking attendance, guiding managers and tracking disciplinary actions, ADA/FMLA requests
  • Manage full-cycle Employee Engagement Activities for the site including creation of engagement calendar, implementation of on-site activities, and communication to broader site/HR channels
  • Equitably exercise high-judgment, manage through ambiguity and serve as first point of escalation for employee concerns
  • Create and drive an active approach to impact change and innovation around employee engagement, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Coach, develop and support leadership through decision making with empathy and sound judgment through leadership 1:1s, roundtables and continuous training

 

What You’ll Need:

  • 3+ years of strategic HR experience within a warehouse environment, 6+ years of total HR experience 
  • Experience supporting both exempt and nonexempt employees
  • 1+ years of people management experience
    • An emphasis on player-coach leadership with the mindset of building things together!
  • Capable of making decisions autonomously without a set playbook
  • Team-oriented in collaboration, but strong in independent execution
  • Influential with Senior Leadership: ability to build relationships for partnering on key business priorities, working across the aisle to match business needs with people best practices
  • Proven experience to thrive within a start-up environment, showing adaptability & agility
  • Expert emphasis on the challenges and needs of 1P Fulfillment, Logistics, Supply Chain industries
