ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER

Do you have high energy and customer service/sales experience? Want to start an exciting career managing a multimillion-dollar commercial property? Store Space Self Storage is looking to hire an Assistant Store Manager to join our team in South Elgin, IL and it could be you!

The hourly rate for this position is between $16.00-$17.00 based on experience. We offer competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. We also offer 401(k) with company match, PTO, and sick time.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

As the Assistant Store Manager, you will serve as an invaluable member of our team by striving to build a clean, safe, and positive experience for our customers. You will be directly responsible for increasing sales by converting opportunities to rentals and upselling. Your day-to-day would involve caring for the facility, inside and out, as well as collections, deposits, and responding to customer inquiries.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER

  • 2+ years of customer service experience (i.e. retail sales, restaurant, front desk, site management)
  • 1+ years of customer-centered sales and collections (cold calling) experience
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new applications
  • Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation
  • Able to walk/sit/stand for extended periods of time
  • Able to operate POS and other typical office machines

Experience in a leadership role or some supervisory experience is highly preferred. We are looking for someone who can prioritize and multi-task independently in a fast-paced environment. You should also be an excellent communicator, organized, detail-oriented, diplomatic, and a team player.

 

WORK SCHEDULE

We're open 7 days a week from 9am to 5:30pm. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.
