Payment Network Specialist

The Role: 

As the Payment Network Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our payment network operations. You will ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of our payment systems, including managing relationships with financial institutions and associations, payment processors, and other stakeholders. 

Additionally, you will be responsible for optimizing payment processes, minimizing risks, controlling budget and implementing industry best practices in Mexico and LATAM, to enhance our performance and help Stori’s growth not only in Mexico but also in LATAM. 

Main responsibilities:

  1. Payment Network Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our payment network, including monitoring transaction activity, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with network rules and regulations. 
  2. Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with payment network providers, banks, processors, and other relevant partners to optimize network performance and negotiate favorable terms. 
  3. Optimization and Expansion: Identify opportunities to optimize our payment network infrastructure, improve transaction efficiency, reduce costs, and expand our network reach to new markets or regions. 
  4. Risk Management: Monitor and mitigate risks associated with payment processing, including fraud, chargebacks, and compliance with regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS. 
  5. Technology Integration: Collaborate with the technology team to integrate new payment technologies, platforms, and features into our systems, ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure and compliance with industry standards.
  6. Data Analysis: Analyze payment data and trends to identify insights, opportunities, and areas for improvement, leveraging analytics tools and methodologies to drive informed decision-making. 
  7. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and optimize payment processes and procedures to streamline operations, enhance customer experience, and drive operational efficiency.

 

What we are looking for:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field. 

- 3 years of experience in payment network management and financial services. 

- Good understanding of payment networks, card networks and industry best practices.

- Good knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to payments.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners. 

-Proven track record of driving process improvements and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
