Your Role and Impact

Stori is looking for an ambitious Investor Relations leader to help realize Stori’s mission and enormous potential of becoming the next $10 billion company soon. Reporting to CFO and working closely with the CEO and founders, this role will serve as a key member of the executive team at Stori and work closely with the Board of Directors. 

This role is preferred to be based in Mexico City or Arlington Virginia (Washington DC area), where we have offices or in New York / San Francisco. It is possible to be remote for top candidates. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Build storyline, key messages and prepare the CFO, CEO and other senior management for Q&As
  • First point of contact for all investors
  • Develop investor confidence and belief in Stori’s vision and strategy to deliver shareholder value
  • Coordinate all meetings and events with investors
  • Build Board agenda and lead the preparation of board and investors’ materials
  • Provide insights on market activity and present them to to the leadership team
  • Analyze and present industry trends, competitive landscape, and benchmarks in the US, Europe and other major emerging markets that may impact the business
  • Identify and reach “target” investors and build strong relationships to optimize mix of shareholders
  • Lead project management and data rooms of fund raise (private and IPO)
  • After the IPO, lead the preparation of quarterly earnings and conference calls, lead the preparation of annual reports and manage strong relationships and build trust with sell side analysts
  • Optional scope - Corporate Development: work with CEO and CFO to look at M&A or JV opportunities, and lead their execution  

Who are we looking for

  • You are a super strong Investors Relations talent who is mature, sharp, disciplined, hard working and a team player. You have worked with US-based and global investors successfully. You can effectively partner with CFO, CEO, COO and the rest of leadership team
  • Super strengths that we are looking for 
    • Fund raise experience working with US-based and Global investors who invest in late-stage technology startup pre- or during-IPO
    • Strong storytelling skills, communication and interpersonal skills 
    • Analytic and strategic thinking
    • Strong in planning, organization and project management
    • Willingness and ability to learn a new market (Mexico and Latam in our case)
  • Big bonus points 
    • IPO experience (NYSE or Nasdaq)

Other requirements

  • 6+ years’ experience in investment banking, Private Equity, Growth stage Venture Capital, or IR role at a sizable private or public company (if private company - Series C and above, ARR above US$200M)
  • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments 
  • Willingness to work with global investors based in different time zones
