Senior Account Executive
Who You Are:
We are looking for an Account Executive who brings exceptional commercial, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills to our Sales team. As an individual contributor responsible for the full sales cycle (pitching, presenting, and securing agreements) with new accounts, the AE will drive results by closing new business deals. This role is remote, anywhere in the US.
If you’re passionate about joining a high velocity and innovative sales team, then look no further. At Storyblocks, you're not just another salesperson—you’re a strategic partner helping creative teams unlock unlimited potential. With our innovative stock media solutions, you’ll be selling a product that directly powers content creators worldwide. Uncapped commissions, a competitive base salary, great healthcare options, and unlimited PTO ensure that when Storyblocks wins, you win.
What You Will Do:
- Take ownership of your territory like a mini-CEO—strategically identifying, engaging, and closing new business while working alongside GTM and SDR teams to generate pipeline momentum
- Lead the full sales cycle from initial outreach to close, including discovery calls, product demos, free trials, and proposal presentations
- Run effective discovery calls to uncover customer pain points, align Storyblocks' solutions, and drive engagement through value-based selling
- Deliver compelling demos and presentations, effectively showcasing how Storyblocks meets client needs
- Consistently hit monthly, quarterly and annual quota targets ($1m+)
- Partner & mentor an SDR on lead generation tactics to support your pipeline
- Research and report customer feedback and industry trends to internal stakeholders
- Manage a healthy balance of inbound and outbound sales efforts, converting marketing-generated leads while proactively prospecting into target accounts
What You Bring to the Table:
Required
- 2+ years of closing experience within New Sales/New Business Development
- A proven track record of developing opportunities, managing pipelines, and hitting numbers in a high volume environment
- Proven success in both inbound and outbound sales, effectively converting warm leads while proactively sourcing and closing new business
- Ability in partnering with SDRs to refine outreach strategies and optimize lead conversion.
- Proactive problem solver who operates effectively and with a high level of autonomy
- Commercial Skills: internal and external communication, ability to close deals, understanding of sales cycle and process, and experience with CRM systems
- Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, and consultative sales acumen
Preferred
- Ideally carrying a $1m+ annual quota
- Experience selling into Marketing teams, Ad Agencies, Production Companies, or Broadcast Organizations
- Experience working and closing a high volume (30-40 opps, closing ~10 deals per month) of opportunities each month with an average 30-day sales cycle and average ASP of $10k.
- Experience selling stock media or content creation software
What We Bring to the Table:
- Competitive and fair compensation: We believe in fair pay--equal pay for equal work. For each title, we consistently apply competitive salary bands based on market data and benchmarks which are reviewed twice a year. What you’ve been paid before, fear of conflict, or willingness to negotiate does not play a part in determining your pay.
- The annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. Placement within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members. Eligible for up to $100,000 (on-target commission) related to meeting sales quota; payable quarterly.
- 401(k) retirement plan: We offer both a Traditional and Roth 401(k) with a company match.
- Company-paid medical: Our medical, dental and vision premiums are covered 100% for you and your dependents.
- Paid parental leave: Welcoming new family members is exciting, but it can also be challenging. We offer twelve weeks paid leave for primary caregivers and four weeks for secondary caregivers.
- Unlimited vacation: At Storyblocks, we believe in the importance of taking time off when you need it. Typically, employees take about three or four weeks each year. Plus, two company-wide week breaks in July and December.
- Flexible work options As a fully remote company, we’ve got you covered no matter where you are. Remote work stipend? Check. Company and team events? Check.
- Flexible work options: All of our work is virtual. As long as you deliver results, you are welcome to get your work done during unusual times when desired.
- Company-sponsored mentorship and growth: We encourage attending virtual meetups and are happy to host them as well. We also have a leadership coach, on staff, available to all employees to enhance your professional development.
- Employee perks: We help employees maintain work-life balance and honor their contributions to the organization by offering resources such as a financial wellness program, a subscription service that offers unlimited deliveries from thousands of eligible restaurants with $0 delivery, and a recognition and rewards program that celebrates their accomplishments.
