
Brand Coordinator
Overview:
At Story Cannabis, we’re building some of the most experience-driven cannabis brands in the market; Fade Co., Just Flower, and Just Vape. These brands are part of our vertically integrated portfolio and represent a key pillar of our growth strategy as we expand across multiple states. Backed by strong executive leadership and deep roots in cannabis, Story is scaling rapidly and we’re looking for a Brand Coordinator in Arizona who’s ready to grow with us. This is a junior-level role focused on coordinating brand execution across events, merchandising, ambassador activity, and content capture. It’s a hands-on opportunity with real ownership and visibility, ideal for someone who’s eager to move fast, take initiative, and help shape how our brands show up in a dynamic, competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Execution & Brand Activations
- Coordinate and execute brand events and activations across Arizona, from setup to breakdown.
- Ensure every event reflects brand tone, storytelling, and visual standards.
- Represent the brand on-site, at Story Cannabis retail locations, third-party dispensaries, community events, or partner activations around the state.
- Proactively identify local opportunities for events, partnerships, or brand moments in community, retail, or culture.
- Bring new ideas to the table; develop scrappy, smart activation concepts and pitch them for seasonal calendars or one-off executions.
- Support the execution of cultural collaborations, influencer activations, and campaign-driven fieldwork.
Retail Merchandising & Brand Visibility
- Manage ongoing in-store merchandising and signage updates in collaboration with retail partners.
- Audit retail locations for brand compliance and freshness.
- Identify opportunities for new placements or creative displays that boost visibility.
- Track inventory and usage of merchandising kits, QR codes, and printed assets.
Ambassador Program Support
- Oversee day-to-day scheduling, communication, and support for Arizona-based brand ambassadors
- Ensure ambassadors are equipped with the right training, event materials, swag, and talking points to represent the brand authentically and consistently
- Maintain a consistent presence at key activations to guide tone, capture feedback, and ensure executional quality
- Coordinate content creation support—guide ambassadors on the types of photo and video content needed (e.g., branded environments, trending formats, product highlights, UGC-style storytelling), ensure timely submission, and review for quality and brand alignment before sharing
- Stay current on social trends, meme culture, and content formats (e.g., Reels, TikToks, POVs, lo-fi product showcases) and coach ambassadors to adapt their content style accordingly
- Collaborate with the Brand Director and creative team to flag high-performing content for potential reposting or paid media usage
- Track ambassador KPIs including event attendance, content output, engagement quality, and ROI contribution
Content Coordination & Digital Asset Management
- Be on site for photoshoots, content creation, and campaign capture moments.
- Coordinate with creators, photographers, and videographers when on-the-ground support is needed.
- Upload content into the DAM with proper naming, tagging, and folder organization.
- Track asset usage across campaigns, retail, and social platforms.
Digital & Paid Media Support
- Support execution of digital brand campaigns by gathering local content, ambassador UGC, or field results.
- Ensure local menu platforms (Dutchie, Jane), brand pages (Weedmaps, Leafly), and QR codes are current and accurate.
- Provide store-level feedback on digital campaigns and flag outdated or missing information.
Local KPI Reporting & Field Insights
- Track KPIs for activations, ambassador content, foot traffic, QR scan activity, and more.
- Contribute to monthly reporting templates to support regional and brand-wide analysis.
- Gather on-the-ground feedback from store staff, consumers, and partners to inform campaign strategy.
SOP Execution & Systems Consistency
- Follow brand SOPs and execution playbooks for events, merchandising, ambassador support, and content capture.
- Ensure consistency in how campaigns are activated across locations.
- Provide feedback to improve or evolve SOPs based on field experience.
- Support onboarding and training of new ambassadors or event contractors using toolkits provided.
Social Media & Content Distribution Support
- Coordinate tagging and submission of content from ambassadors and creators.
- Track in-market posts and support the timely delivery of field content for social or paid use.
- Identify standout content or stories from the field that may be elevated to brand channels.
Swag, Sampling & Asset Management
- Manage local inventory of swag, sampling products, printed collateral, and signage.
- Coordinate distribution for activations, retail events, and ambassador use.
- Track inventory usage and reorder needs based on campaign cycles.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in brand marketing, event production, or retail merchandising
- Understanding of brand identity, retail experience, and in-person consumer engagement
- Comfortable working independently and staying organized in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with high standards for visual presentation and brand consistency
- Familiarity with tools like SeedTalent, DAM systems, Google Workspace, and digital menu platforms
- Passion for cannabis culture and a desire to build something people remember
