Marketing Events Intern
The Opportunity:
Our internship program is a full-time 10-week long program running from June 4 through August 14, 2026. Applicants should be based in the Chicago area for the duration of the program to participate in our hybrid work environment at our Chicago headquarters. Applicants should also currently be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher with an expected graduation date in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027.

How you’ll make an impact:
As a Marketing Event Intern, you’ll gain exposure to how a high-growth SaaS company plans and executes events that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and pipeline growth. You’ll work closely with our Marketing team and cross-functional partners, with the opportunity to build real-world skills that translate into a future career in marketing, events, or communications at Strata.
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing events, including our Summit customer conferences, 3rd party trade shows, and peer networking events
- Assist with event logistics, ordering services, attendee list management
- Help develop concepts to attract attendees to trade show booths (including research of new and exciting giveaways)
- Help create event-related materials, such as presentations and post-event recap content
- Track and analyze event performance metrics (attendance, engagement, feedback) and summarize insights for the Marketing team
- Organize and inventory Marketing closet on a weekly basis
- Contribute to process improvements for event planning and execution to increase efficiency and consistency
- Present project results, learnings, and recommendations at the end of the internship
- During-event activations to draw trade show booth visitors in
- Promotional tactics pre-event and during the event
- How to better compete for mindshare at events where competitors are present
- Data storytelling for ROI of events
What we’re looking for:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, hospitality or a related field with an interest in events, experiential marketing, or brand engagement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Interest in event planning, marketing strategy, and brand engagement
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel (experience with sales, marketing, or event tools like Salesforce, Wrike, Canva, etc. is a plus)
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable to new challenges
Estimated Salary Range: $25/Hr
