Strata Critical is a national provider of time-critical logistics and clinical services to the U.S. healthcare industry. We operate one of the largest air transport and surgical services networks for hospitals, transplant centers, and organ procurement organizations, offering an integrated “one call” solution for donor organ recovery.
Our core services span transplant and cardiac surgical care. We provide air and ground logistics, surgical organ recovery, organ placement and normothermic regional perfusion for the transplant industry. We also deliver perfusion staffing, equipment solutions, and clinical support for cardiovascular surgery centers across the country.
Work Location: Remote
Schedule: Full-Time 24-hour shift models. Rotating schedule covering day, night, weekend and holiday call.
Salary: $70,000 + depending on experience

Key Responsibilities of an Organ Placement Coordinator
- Provide 24/7 coverage for organ placement coordination, managing donor organ offers through post-transplant recipient phases
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with transplant centers, surgeons, and donor organizations
- Adhere to OPTN policies and ensure compliance with transplant regulations
- Accurately review donor and recipient charts and facilitate real-time documentation of accepted cases
- Ensure seamless coordination of transplant logistics, utilizing standard templates and workflows
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to team education
Qualifications & Skills of an Organ Placement Coordinator
- Experience in organ procurement organizations (OPOs), transplant centers, or acute care settings (ICU, Emergency Department, or transplant units)
- Experience in allocation, coordination and/or medical logistics is preferred
- Strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities in high-pressure situations
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and UNet DonorNet/Waitlist
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team
