Position Summary

This may be your perfect opportunity to join our innovative team as an Ellucian Banner Technical Consultant. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Ellucian Banner Technical Consultant with a Financial Aid focus to support the technical configurations, integrations, and coding requirements for the Banner Financial Aid module. This full-time position offers a chance to make a significant impact by enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of financial aid operations in higher education institutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate and Innovate: Consult with clients to implement the Ellucian Banner software suite and connected applications, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve: Address and solve technical issues related to the Banner software suite, providing innovative and effective solutions to clients' needs.
- Manage and Deliver: Handle multiple clients and project requirements simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and delivering timely solutions to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
- Configure and Develop: Design, write, and optimize SQL scripts, create Banner Financial Aid rules, establish integrations, and manage technical configurations for streamlined system functionality.
Required Qualifications
- Industry Expertise: 5+ years of experience in the Higher Education Industry focused on optimizing Ellucian Banner in the Financial Aid department
- Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Banner technologies and PL/SQL, with solid experience coding in Java or JavaScript
- Tool Mastery: Proficiency with database and IDE tools such as SQL Developer, or IntelliJ.
- Version Control Experience: Familiarity with version control software like Git.
- Module Support: Specific experience supporting the Banner Financial Aid module including strong experience in coding the disbursement rules in Banner Financial Aid. Additional experience with Curriculum, Advising, and Program Planning (CAPP) and Course Program of Study (CPOS)
- Self-Management: The ability to manage multiple projects independently and solve problems effectively.
- Consulting Skills: Proven consulting skills with the ability to assess client needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service approach.
- Team Collaboration: A strong desire to learn, collaborate, and innovate with team members and clients.
- Flexibility: The ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensibility Tools: Experience with Banner Extensibility tools and the Ellucian Ethos Platform.
- Data Migration: Demonstrated experience with data migration processes.
- Insights and Analytics: Experience with Ellucian Insights and Experience.
- Integration Skills: Proven experience integrating data from third-party applications with Banner.
- Workflow Solutions: Experience in developing, designing, and implementing solutions using Banner Workflow.
- Document Management: Experience implementing and supporting Banner Document Management or other imaging systems.
- Automation Tools: Experience automating batch processes with Automic Applications Manager (UC4) or similar software.
- Web Development Skills: Experience in web development using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, and RESTful Web Services.
Pay and Benefits
- The salary range is $90,000 -$125,000 plus bonus

The listed salary range for this position is indicative and subject to adjustment based on the candidate's unique skills and location. Final compensation will be determined through mutual agreement between the successful candidate and SIG.
