As the Inside Sales Assistant at Allied Pump Rentals, you will play a vital role in supporting our sales and rental operations. You’ll manage quotes, orders, and customer interactions while ensuring data accuracy in our Infor ERP system. You’ll also collaborate across departments to streamline workflows, troubleshoot ERP issues, and help drive operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will be a proactive, organized professional with strong communication skills and a knack for technology. Other requirements include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer quotes, sales orders, and rental agreements using Infor ERP.
- Support the outside sales team with proposals, technical documentation, and follow-ups.
- Maintain real-time accuracy of inventory, pricing, and availability in the ERP system.
- Generate reports for sales, inventory, and order tracking.
- Assist with customer accounts, credit checks, and rental documentation.
- Coordinate with operations and logistics to ensure timely equipment delivery and return.
- Provide outstanding customer service via phone, email, and in person.
- Train staff on ERP basics and assist with troubleshooting ERP issues.
- Identify and suggest process improvements using ERP features and data workflows.
- Support CRM/ERP integration tasks and IT needs related to inside sales.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or sales support (preferably in equipment rental, construction, or industrial services).
- Strong working knowledge of Infor ERP or similar enterprise systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Comfortable learning new software and supporting basic IT troubleshooting.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Technical aptitude with mechanical/equipment knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with pump equipment or rental industry preferred but not required.
