Strategy Consulting Team (SCT) seeks an experienced and motivated knowledge manager to support a Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-6 client.

This position is responsible for enabling operational unity and synchronization between several components (Initiatives Group/Strategic Planners, Strategic Communicators, Protocol/Event Planner, G-6 Front Office, points of contact at relevant locations/engagement sites) by developing, implementing, and supporting knowledge management (KM) policies, strategies, practices, and projects that support a planning process that functions as one and cuts across the silos or functional boundaries of the G-6 strategic planning and communications contract support team.

Duties:

  • Close coordination with the strategic planning and strategic communication team members within the G-6 to enable synchronized, coordinated, and fully integrated efforts through strategies, plans, products, and tools.
  • Develop KM strategies, policies, and procedures for use across the organization. This includes all file storage locations available, such as SharePoint, Teams, and shared drives.
  • Leverage expert KM knowledge to educate and inform stakeholders and audiences about G-6 initiatives to advance overall goals.
  • Leverage organizational tools and methodologies to integrate different priorities and strategies, ensuring seamless data flow across contract tasks.
  • Participate in coordination meetings and work groups with external agency communication planners, and project leads within the G-6 to assist in synchronizing strategic messaging across diverse stakeholder groups (including the broad Signal and Cyber community).
  • Establish and promote effective relationship development processes with workforce customers, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Advising senior-level management on knowledge management techniques and principles and recommending best practices.
  • Manage, maintain, coordinate, and brief a Long-Range Calendar (LRC) ensuring synchronization with other DoD and Army calendars and efforts. The LRC ensures that staff can maintain situational awareness of HQDA, G-6, and CIO key events.

Qualifications:

  • Mastery of the theory and practice of knowledge management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of how people learn and how knowledge assets can be used to gain organizational efficiencies.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of interpersonal methods and information technologies that are used for knowledge management activities.
  • Ability to analyze an organization's goals, problems, practices, organization, and resources to assess KM readiness.
  • Experience coordinating efforts with managers and staff in program and information technology areas.
  • Experience serving as project manager.
  • Comprehensive understanding of change management and process improvement (lean, Six Sigma, CPI, etc.) concepts and processes.
  • Mastery of creating and maintaining collaborative relationships.
  • Ability to formulate appropriate recommendations for management consideration; recommendations that address the organization’s objectives.
  • Ability to network with experts outside the organization and to study best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks directly supporting senior-level executives.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and planning skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Department of Defense experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Security clearance of secret or above.

This opportunity requires 3 days per week on site.
