Sr. Technical Recruiter

Stratolaunch is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Sr. Technical Recruiter to support rapid growth across our Engineering and Operations teams. This position reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager and plays a key role in helping the company identify, attract, and hire top talent into critical positions.

The ideal candidate is a strong full-cycle recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and can balance urgency with a high level of professionalism, organization, and candidate care. This person will partner closely with hiring managers and cross-functional leaders to develop recruiting strategies, deliver an excellent candidate experience, and drive hiring results for highly specialized technical roles.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for technical and operational roles, from intake meeting through offer stage and onboarding coordination.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, role requirements, team dynamics, and desired candidate profiles.
  • Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies to attract both active and passive candidates for difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Review and help refine job descriptions and hiring criteria to ensure alignment with business needs and market conditions.
  • Identify, screen, and assess candidates through resume review, recruiter screens, and ongoing communication throughout the hiring process.
  • Present qualified candidates to hiring managers and provide guidance throughout interview, selection, and offer stages.
  • Maintain accurate and timely candidate records, activity updates, and interview feedback within the applicant tracking system.
  • Keep candidates informed and engaged throughout the recruiting process to ensure a high-quality candidate experience.
  • Support compensation discussions and advise hiring managers on market competitiveness and offer positioning.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and future hiring needs.
  • Represent Stratolaunch externally through networking, industry engagement, recruiting events, career fairs, and other branding opportunities.
  • Track recruiting activity, funnel health, and hiring progress to help improve efficiency and decision-making.
  • Ensure recruiting practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with candidates, hiring managers, and cross-functional partners.
  • Demonstrated understanding of technical disciplines, technical roles, and engineering talent markets.
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting best practices, sourcing strategies, interview processes, and applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to influence hiring decisions through market insight, candidate assessment, and strong consultative partnership.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and recruiting systems/tools.

Education & Experience

Sr. Technical Recruiter ($101,000 – $132,500):
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Eligible for up to 10% annual bonus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting for engineering, aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other highly technical environments.
  • Experience supporting high-growth or fast-paced organizations.
  • Experience using Greenhouse or a similar applicant tracking system strongly preferred.
  • Aerospace industry experience is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is located in Mojave, CA. Consideration may be given for remote or partial on-site (hybrid) work.

Mojave Air & Spaceport is located just outside of Lancaster/Palmdale and is only 95 miles north of Los Angeles.  The area offers both affordability and central access to a variety of California's best attractions and landmarks.
