To support these advanced program efforts, Stratolaunch is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator with 5–10 years of progressive experience coordinating complex technical programs in aerospace, defense, or other high‑consequence environments. This role serves as a senior integrator across the program office to drive clear communication and high‑quality customer deliverables.

The ideal candidate excels in structured coordination, multi-stakeholder communication, and ensuring program activities remain synchronized with requirements, schedules, and contract obligations. They are comfortable navigating dynamic environments, managing large deliverable matrices, and supporting fast-paced technical teams. To be successful, a candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a willingness to learn and growth within the scope of authority to enhance customer satisfaction for customers and executive leadership.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Cross-Functional Coordination & Integration

  • Coordinate execution activities across engineering, operations, procurement, finance, and test organizations to ensure alignment with program plans
  • Drive effective communication and information flow across diverse functional teams
  • Translate program goals into actionable trackers, dashboards, and structured coordination mechanisms
  • Support the integration of multi-disciplinary inputs into program schedules, deliverables, and customer-facing materials
  • Coordinate customer technical interchange meetings and onsite visits from government partners

Program Execution & Deliverable Management

  • Maintain accurate program documentation, trackers, and coordinated status updates
  • Support configuration compliance, documentation completeness, and timely preparation of review materials and contract deliverables
  • Ensure program activities remain aligned with contract scope, customer expectations, and quality standards
  • Maintain awareness of program financial health and budget constraints; ensure alignment contract scope and customer desires when coordinating program activities

Customer Communication & Stakeholder Support

  • Serve as the primary working-level communication node for customer inquiries, status updates, and deliverable tracking
  • Lead routine customer-facing coordination interactions and support cross-functional briefings
  • Prepare consolidated weekly/monthly status reports and support formal program reviews
  • Maintain high-trust, professional communication with customer and government partners
  • Prepare routine consolidated status reports for program and executive leadership

Risk, Issue & Action Management

  • Identify emerging risks, deliverable delays, or schedule conflicts and elevate them promptly to program leadership
  • Support development and coordination of mitigation plans
  • Track action items, drive closure, and ensure structured follow-through across teams
  • Flag resource, documentation, or dependency gaps that could affect execution predictability

Leadership, Mentorship & Team Support

  • Provide day-to-day guidance to junior coordinators; review work quality and coach team members on program workflows
  • Influence cross-functional alignment to meet aggressive deadlines and customer commitments
  • Contribute to improving coordination processes, reporting structures, and execution standards within the program team

Travel

  • Domestic travel as required to support program and business objectives. (Typically <20%)

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of direct program coordination experience in aerospace, defense, or technical program environments
  • Strong understanding of defense acquisition basics, contract deliverable processes, and technical program lifecycles
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex action-item matrices, multi-source reporting, or customer-facing deliverables
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across diverse technical teams
  • Strong organizational skillset with high attention to detail and ability to self-direct daily priorities
  • Strong ability to survey the landscape, prioritize what is both urgent and important to the program, and communicate these priorities to the team and leadership
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interfacing with DoD customers, defense contractors, or regulated technical programs
  • Familiarity with CDRLs/SDRLs, IMS alignment, or earned value concepts
  • Experience with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, or equivalent)
  • Background supporting aircraft operations, flight test, or integration-related programs

 

Education & Experience

  • Program Coordinator $93,000 - $142,000 (base salary and leveling established on a case-by-case basis, considering location, education, skills, and experience)
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Base salary and leveling are established on a case-by-case basis. We consider several factors to ensure a competitive offer, including your location, educational background, and a comprehensive assessment of the skills and experience demonstrated during your interviews.
