Security Intern- Summer 2027

As a Security Intern, you will be a member of the security team, working in the Security Department.  You will contribute to maintaining compliance with government regulations, perform security centric administrative requirements, promote safe and secure test of Stratolaunch operational vehicles and any other security tasks deemed necessary by the Facility Security Officer.

 

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facility Security Support- assist FSO with maintaining compliance with government regulations such as 32 CFR 117 (NISPOM)
  • Visitor & Personnel Control- assist badging, escort vendors, process incoming/outgoing visits & new employee on-boarding.
  • Classified Material Handling- assist with tracking, auditing, and dispatching classified documents, mail packages, and contract inventory.
  • Training & Briefings: assist with preparing security awareness training, briefings and compliance assessments.
  • Administrative Operations- assist with maintaining calendars, schedule meetings for classified/unclassified conference rooms and update security documentation.
  • Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity, and fulfillment of commitments.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain active U.S. Secret clearance
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Business Management, Criminal Justice or other security relevant program
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications
  • Understanding of physical and operational security basics

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior going to graduate school, working on a security relevant degree.

Base salary and leveling are established on a case-by-case basis. We consider several factors to ensure a competitive offer, including your location, educational background, and a comprehensive assessment of the skills and experience demonstrated during your interviews.
