J2 Technical Editor - Mid
- Reviews intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax, as well as for logic, clarity, and consistency.
- Ensures that style and format conform to agency publication standards and that language presentation is consistent with prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary of subject matter fields.
- Amends draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to ensure the content supports and is consistent with the accompanying text.
- Ensures proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance.
- Works with authors to revise products for narrative organization, and negotiates further revisions as needed.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance. Must be willing to take a CI polygraph, if required.
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience with analysis and technical editing. 7 years of experience with analysis and technical editing may substitute in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with producing all-source intelligence analysis and managing the production of analysis products.
- Ability to proofread, edit, and correct text for style and accuracy.
- Ability to apply IC analytic standards and analytic tradecraft standards as defined in Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) 203 Analytic Standards and ICD 206 Sourcing Requirements.
- Ability to prepare intelligence assessments and other written products with an emphasis on logical argumentation and analytic clarity.
