We’re seeking an energetic, positive-minded Assistant Store Manager - Automotive Repair & Maintinance who embraces challenges with enthusiasm and prioritizes guest satisfaction above all else.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and guiding a team of automotive technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
  • Performing advanced diagnostic tests and repairs on vehicles, serving as a mentor and resource for junior technicians.
  • Providing technical guidance and training to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members.
  • Collaborating closely with service advisors to ensure clear communication and understanding of customer vehicle concerns.
  • Overseeing the scheduling of repairs and maintenance jobs to optimize shop productivity and meet customer expectations.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback to team members.
  • Resolving escalated customer issues and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and advancements in automotive technology

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as an Automotive Mechanic/Technician demonstrating strong knowledge of automotive systems and components
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Valid driver’s license & clean driving record
  • Excellent problem solving and diagnostic skills 
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment to meet or exceed hourly goals

Physical Requirements

  • Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds
  • Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
  • Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
  • Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools
  • Walk/stand for the majority of the workday
  • Drive manual transmission vehicles
  • Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
  • Efficiently navigate a computer
