Responsibilities

• Apply expertise as a full diagnostic technician to complete complex automotive repairs
• Diagnose & repair all categories: heating/cooling, electrical, brakes, steering, suspension, etc. 
• Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and adhere to manufacturer specifications.
• Complete detailed preventative maintenance reports using digital visual inspections.
• Maintain communication with the service department to keep customers informed.
• Interface with customers to explain repair orders in detail, if needed
• Uphold high standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization.
• Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations governing service operations, including protocols for hazardous waste disposal and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years prior experience working as a mechanic/technician in an automotive shop
• Advanced automotive diagnostic skills
• Valid driver’s license & clean driving record
• Have necessary set of tools to perform repairs & maintenance
• ASE Certifications preferred but not required
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment to meet or exceed hourly goals

Physical Requirements

• Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds
• Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
• Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
• Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools
• Walk/stand for the majority of the workday
• Drive manual transmission vehicles
• Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
• Efficiently navigate a computer
