We’re looking for a dynamic Sales Agent Trainer who can take remote and inbound sales teams to the next level. If you believe in maximizing conversion rates, maintaining a steady flow of scheduled jobs, and are comfortable telling salespeople exactly what they need to do (no sugar-coating), then read on.
Competitive Base Pay: $50,000-$80,000/year
Key Responsibilities
- Elevate Remote & Inbound Teams
- Develop and implement training modules focused on phone-based and remote selling (inbound calls, appointment setting, deal closing).
- Continuously improve appointment-to-invoice conversion rates, ensuring that every inbound call results in revenue—and that the shops stay busy.
- Targeted Performance Metrics
- Sharpen the team’s sales tactics to hit or exceed critical benchmarks (answer rate goals, appointment-set percentages, and conversion rates).
- Collaborate with leadership to monitor how these metrics feed into labor margin, store productivity, and overall profitability.
- Support a Retail Mindset
- Instill a “retail-like” customer experience approach—friendly, helpful, and consistent.
- Ensure the brand stands out in a crowded automotive landscape, fostering customer loyalty and repeat business through exceptional phone-based interactions.
- Ongoing Coaching & Feedback
- Provide real-time coaching sessions, shadow inbound calls, and deliver constructive feedback.
- Use call recordings and performance data to diagnose training gaps and celebrate successes.
- Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Marketing, and Store Managers to keep training materials fresh and aligned with the latest promotions, service offerings, and company objectives.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging phone/remote selling techniques to keep the team ahead of the curve.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: 3+ years in a sales training or sales leadership role, ideally in a call center or inbound phone sales environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Automotive experience is a plus, but if you can train a pack of wolves to sell anything to anyone, we still want to hear from you.
- Data-Savvy: Comfortable analyzing call metrics and using reporting tools to measure performance.
- Strong Communication: Ability to hold attention and motivate a group; if you can’t capture a remote team’s focus, they’ll be muting you faster than a bad podcast.
- Adaptable: Ready to pivot training content as company goals and promotions evolve—no day is the same in modern automotive retail.
