Director of Product Marketing

Job Summary:

Strider is looking for a Director of Product Marketing to spearhead and drive the success of Strider’s product offerings. This individual will deeply understand our target audience, market segments, and their challenges, effectively communicating how Strider’s solutions uniquely address those needs. In addition, this person needs to closely collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and the extended marketing and communications team to build and execute marketing programs that grow and scale the business efficiently.

This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing.

Key Responsibilities: 

Product Positioning and Strategic Messaging

  • Be the primary authority on positioning and communicating product value to our target personas.
  • Lead product marketing efforts as the expert on our target personas, their purchasing behaviors, and buying criteria.

Content Development

  • Lead the strategy for product content creation and the roadmap needed to support all phases of the buyer journey.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing and content delivery team to manage tradeoffs and ensure timely delivery of the content roadmap.
  • Own the strategy for Product announcements and launches

Sales Enablement

  • Create compelling pitch decks, tools, and training for the Sales team and partners.
  • Support our sales and marketing efforts as a thought leader and subject matter expert across all phases of the buyer’s journey.

Voice of the Customer

  • Build relationships with customers to gain deep insights into their needs, challenges, and aspirations.
  • Advocate for the customer by integrating their voice into product messaging and marketing strategies.

Team Building

  • Manage two current product marketing team members.
  • Implement and refine effective product marketing workflows and communication practices.
  • Recruit and develop a high-performing product marketing team members, fostering growth and excellence in processes, tools, and tactics.

Cross-Functional Alignment and Leadership

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of product marketing initiatives.
  • Manage the product marketing budget efficiently, allocating resources effectively to achieve the best results.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments, particularly Product Management, to ensure consistent and unified message across all customer touchpoints. 

Key Qualifications: 

  • 7-10 years of enterprise B2B SaaS product marketing experience (experience in enterprise security, risk, and compliance is a plus).
  • Expertise in structuring and communicating products to maximize customer comprehension, engagement, and perceived value.
  • Demonstrated success in high-growth and fast-paced environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills with the ability to distill complex product features into compelling copy that resonates with target audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills to define and track key metrics, measure the success of launches and product adoption, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Adept at cross-functional collaboration, influencing stakeholders at all levels and across departments (Sales, Product, Intel, Executives), building strong partnerships within and beyond the Marketing team.
  • Track record of building and leading product marketing teams with measurable impact.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in marketing, business, or a related field degree; an MBA is plus.
