As the leading strategic intelligence company, Strider empowers organizations to secure and advance their technology and innovation. Job Description

Strider is seeking a Manager for Custom Analytics to lead a team that delivers high-impact, bespoke data science solutions to our clients. This is not a traditional analytics team—your group sits at the forefront of Strider’s capabilities, frequently solving problems the company hasn’t tackled before. Whether it’s a one-day executive briefing or a multi-quarter engagement with recurring data feeds, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that Strider’s clients receive fast, focused, and defensible data intelligence—when they need it most.

You’ll lead a team of data scientists through ambiguity and urgency, while developing the processes, standards, and rhythms that elevate how the team operates. Your north star is impact and repeatability: what starts as a bespoke custom solution often becomes incubatees into a scalable, high-impact product.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a team delivering custom data products and reports, ranging from quick-turn analyses to long-term client deliverables with recurring updates.
  • Serve as the primary bridge between clients and technical delivery, ensuring work is scoped well, executed quickly and at the highest quality, and communicates meaningful insights.
  • Shape new analytical offerings that often precede product development—turning client demand into prototypes that become part of Strider’s future roadmap.
  • Build structure in a dynamic environment—introducing process, rigor, and standards while maintaining the flexibility needed to meet real-world timelines.
  • Drive accountability through clear metrics and outcomes, and communicate team value consistently to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop talent, mentor ICs, and raise the bar on how the team operates, not just what they deliver.

What You Will Need to Be Successful

  • 5+ years of data science or analytics experience, including 2+ years leading or managing teams
  • Experience delivering client-facing analytical work, ideally in consulting, intelligence, or mission-critical enterprise settings
  • Strong command of Python, SQL, and data visualization tools; comfort navigating unstructured data and problem spaces
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills—able to translate between technical teams and senior decision-makers
  • A track record of delivering under pressure with tight timelines and evolving requirements
  • Passion for building teams and systems, not just shipping deliverables
  • Relentless curiosity, a consumer-centric vision for innovation, and an uncompromising drive for excellence

Why Join This Team

  • You’ll lead one of Strider’s most cross-functional and highly leveraged teams, working at the intersection of client needs, internal capabilities, and new product development.
  • You'll get to define what great looks like for a fast-moving team delivering real-world, cutting-edge data intelligence.
  • You'll work alongside leadership, engineering, and intelligence teams daily—shaping not only client outcomes but Strider’s roadmap.

Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation
  • Company Equity Options
  • Flexible PTO
  • Wellness Reimbursement
  • US Holidays (Office Closed)
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) Plan

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
