As the leading strategic intelligence company, Strider empowers organizations to secure and advance their technology and innovation. We leverage cutting-edge AI technology and proprietary methodologies to transform publicly available data into critical insights. These insights enable organizations to proactively address and respond to risks associated with state-sponsored intellectual property theft, targeted talent acquisition, and supply chain vulnerabilities.

About the Role

Strider is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and strategic-minded Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our leadership team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role will lead Strider’s international financial planning, forecasting, and analytics efforts. Serving as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, and manager of the FP&A team, this leader will act as a critical operator in ensuring we adequately invest in and execute Strider’s strategic growth initiatives.

You will shape Strider’s multi-year financial strategy, provide actionable insights to enable data-driven decision-making, and build a world-class FP&A team that supports our continued, expeditious global growth. In this role, you will prepare board-level financial materials and analyses that support the CFO’s leadership in presenting to the Board of Directors. This is a rare opportunity to influence the financial trajectory of a mission-driven technology company at the forefront of global strategic intelligence. We need a CFO-minded leader who will act like an owner, demonstrate proactive bias for action, and execute relentlessly to enable Strider's expeditious and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO, CEO, executive leadership team, and senior leaders worldwide, aligning international financial strategy with Strider’s mission and long-term growth objectives.
  • Translate financial performance into business insights that inform strategic decisions and operational priorities.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing FP&A team that partners effectively and proactively with business leaders.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement, within FP&A, Strider Finance, and the worldwide Strider team.

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Own the annual operating plan, monthly and quarterly forecasts, and rolling multi-year financial models. Closely monitor short- and long-term revenue, expense, and cash forecasts, and partner with leadership to ensure the strong financial health of the business.
  • Implement processes, tools, and metrics to improve forecasting accuracy, agility, and transparency across the organization.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Deliver timely, insightful, and high-quality analyses and presentation content to support the CFO and executive leadership team.
  • Partner with CFO, VP of Accounting, and senior leaders to prepare board-level financial materials and ensure accuracy, clarity, and strategic relevance; direct board presentations will be led by the CFO.
  • Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and trends, and recommend actions to improve performance and optimize capital allocation.

Fundraising, M&A, and Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead financial modeling and due diligence for fundraising, mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
  • Lead evaluation and tracking of ROI, synergies, and new business opportunities to drive value creation.

Process & Systems Improvement

  • In partnership with the VP of Accounting, standardize and automate financial reporting and planning processes to scale with growth.
  • Champion adoption of modern FP&A tools and systems, including the latest AI-powered technologies, that optimize team performance while enhancing data quality and speed to insight.

Execution & Financial Performance

  • Partner with business leaders to translate financial targets into actionable plans, ensuring accountability and alignment across the organization.
  • Closely monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, proactively identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.
  • Drive initiatives that improve operational efficiency, optimize resource allocation, and support the achievement of company financial objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to remove barriers to execution and ensure timely delivery of financial results.

Key Characteristics & Qualifications

  • Business Partnership: Proven ability to build relationships of trust with senior cross-functional leaders, proactively identify challenges and opportunities, and collaborate in lockstep with business partners to develop and execute solutions that drive results.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to scale teams and build organizational capability in a fast-moving, global environment. Build and reinforce a high-performance culture, both within the Finance team and across the worldwide organization. Hire, retain, and develop world-class talent.
  • Backbone: Demonstrated courage to voice well-reasoned perspectives, challenge assumptions, and present data-driven alternatives to CFO and executive leadership — while aligning quickly once decisions are made to drive execution.
  • Learn & Be Curious: Demonstrates a relentless curiosity to understand the business, market, risks & challenges, and emerging trends; actively seeks new knowledge (both internally and externally) and insights to improve financial strategy, decision-making, and organizational impact.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to distill complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders. Adeptly build consensus and facilitate productive discussions, translating financial and operational intelligence into business context that resonates.
  • Data-Driven: Deep commitment to using facts and rigorous analysis to inform decisions, uncover insights, and influence stakeholders — with the ability to dive deep into data while maintaining a strategic perspective.
  • Bias for Action: Proven ability to move quickly from analysis to execution, balancing speed and rigor to seize opportunities, address risks early, and deliver tangible results in fast-moving environments. Enable calculated risk-taking across the entire organization.
  • Strategic Acumen: Strong track record of linking financial analysis to business outcomes and influencing decisions at the executive level. Identify growth opportunities, risks, and market trends, and partner with leadership to shape near- and long-term strategic priorities.
  • Experience: 12-15+ years of progressive finance experience with at least 5+ years leading and managing FP&A teams. High-growth technology, SaaS, or intelligence/security industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Analytics, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Certifications: CFA, CPA, or equivalent credentials a plus.

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
