What You’ll Do
We are a fast-growing, private equity–backed healthcare organization committed to transforming care delivery through a value-based model that aligns financial performance with patient outcomes. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in executing the monthly close process, managing technical accounting matters, and preparing financial reports with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and transparency. This role requires an initiative-taking, meticulous professional with strong financial acumen and experience navigating complex transactions in a high-growth, performance-driven environment.
The Day to Day
- Own and manage month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Prepare complex journal entries for accruals, prepaids, debt, intercompany transactions, leases, noncontrolling interest, software capitalization, shared expense allocations, management fee calculations, and equity-related activity
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and private equity reporting requirements
- Reconcile and maintain financial schedules related to prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, intangible assets, leases, payroll, equity, debt, intercompany activity, and other general ledger accounts
- Review complicated contracts and assist in interpreting how contract terms impact financial reporting
- Partner with external auditors and tax accountants and prepare required documentation and support
- Identify and implement process improvements to scale accounting operations and reporting efficiencies
- Maintain strict adherence to internal controls and private equity portfolio-level expectations
- Prepare reporting requirements for private equity stakeholders and lenders
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 2+ years’ experience in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct) and Excel (pivot tables, lookups)
- 2+ years’ experience in U.S. GAAP accounting, including ASC 842 (leases)
- 2+ years’ experience in management fee calculations for managed services agreements
- Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60 ms
- Ability to travel and be onsite to meet business needs
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or CPA license or active CPA candidate
- Prior experience in a multi-location healthcare provider (e.g., ASC, DSO, MSO, urgent care, behavioral health) or private equity-backed environment
- Familiarity with ASC 350 (internal-use software), 606 (revenue for contracts), 718 (equity compensation), 810 (noncontrolling interest)
- Familiarity with healthcare payer contracts, claims data, and risk-based revenue models

Annual Salary Range: $74,000 - $90,000
