The Role:

As a Senior Asset Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing the value of Stronghold’s oil & gas assets, working at the intersection of operations, finance, and investment strategy. This isn’t just about maintaining assets—it’s about strategic decision-making, capital allocation, and high-stakes investment planning. What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Asset Performance Strategy: Develop and execute plans to maximize production, cash flow, and long-term asset value.
  • Financial Optimization: Manage budgets, analyze asset profitability, and ensure that every dollar invested maximizes returns.
  • Investment & M&A: Conduct due diligence, valuations, and financial modeling for potential asset acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Operational & Technical Oversight: Work closely with reservoir engineers and production teams to align technical decisions with financial goals.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure all assets meet regulatory and environmental requirements while optimizing cost structures.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with executive leadership, investors, and external partners to align asset strategies with broader investment objectives.

Who You Are:

  • 7-10 years of asset management, financial planning, or upstream oil & gas operations experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field required.
  • Master’s Degree in Reservoir Engineering or Petroleum Engineering preferred.  
  • Strong background in financial modeling, reserves valuation, and capital investment analysis.
  • Familiar with reservoir and production engineering fundamentals to make technically informed decisions.
  • Proven track record of optimizing cash flow, mitigating risk, and driving profitability.
  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Prior experience in private equity-backed or investment-driven oil & gas firms is a plus.
  • Experience in unconventional reservoirs, ideally Permian Basin
  • Experience in Haynesville, Eagle Ford and Bakken is a plus
  • Focus on Flow in Porous Media, Decline Curve Analysis and Production Forecasting
  • Familiarity with advanced reservoir topics such as Numerical Simulation, RTA, Phase Behavior and Geomechanics
  • Medium to Advanced level in Python (including Numpy, Pandas, scikit-learn)
  • Basic to Medium level in SQL or equivalent
  • Medium to Advanced level in Spotfire or Tableau
  • Demonstrable Presentation skills

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and certifications.

Salary Range

$150,000 - $180,000 USD

Total Compensation Range

$200,000 - $250,000 USD
