The Opportunity:
Senior Human Resource Generalist plays a critical role in aligning human resources strategy with the business objectives of specific business units or departments. The Senior Human Resource Generalist functions as a strategic partner to management, focusing on optimizing HR processes, ensuring compliance, and driving operational efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of business objectives and workforce data to develop integrated, scalable solutions that support organizational performance and align with company goals.
What You'll Own:
- HRIS: Administer and maintain the HRIS, ensuring it supports payroll, benefits administration, and other HR functions effectively.
- Payroll Processing: Oversee and manage payroll operations, including data entry, payroll runs, tax calculations, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- System Integration: Ensure seamless integration between the HRIS and payroll systems, addressing any discrepancies or issues that arise. (e.g., ADP, BambooHR, Gusto, or similar platforms).
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data within the HRIS, including personal details, employment status, and compensation information.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate and analyze reports related to payroll, compensation, and HR metrics to support decision-making and compliance.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to payroll regulations, tax laws, and industry standards. Stay informed about changes in legislation that may impact payroll and HRIS operations.
- User Support: Provide technical support and training to HR and payroll teams on the use of the HRIS, addressing any issues or questions that arise.
- System Upgrades: Manage system upgrades and enhancements, working with vendors and IT teams to implement changes and improvements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for streamlining payroll and HRIS processes, and drive initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Experience That Helps You Thrive in This Role:
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working with HRIS systems and payroll processing, preferably within investment management, real assets, or private equity sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors) and payroll systems. Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and generate reports to support HR and payroll functions. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with HR, finance teams, and employees.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PHR) are a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot system issues and implement effective solutions.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a dynamic work environment.

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and certifications.
