IT Manager - Dallas, TX

We’re seeking an IT Manager to lead Stronghold’s IT operations, manage key IT vendor relationships, and strengthen/maintain our cybersecurity posture. This is an opportunity to shape the IT function in a growing investment management firm that has a collaborative culture where technology drives impact. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategy with hands-on problem-solving, someone who can lead a small team, drive priorities, and ensure a secure, high-performing environment across all systems.

What You’ll Do

Technology Operations & Team Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations and provide leadership to the IT support team.
  • Prioritize and manage team workload, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Establish and maintain IT policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify technology improvements that enhance business efficiency.

Vendor & Infrastructure Management

  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, MSPs, and software providers.
  • Oversee vendor contracts, renewals, and service-level agreements.
  • Coordinate system upgrades, rollouts, and integrations to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure infrastructure and systems operate securely and efficiently.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Lead the firm’s cybersecurity initiatives and incident response protocols.
  • Identify and mitigate security risks across all systems and endpoints.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry best practices.
  • Develop cybersecurity awareness programs and training for employees.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven success managing vendors and external service providers.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience with modern cloud environments (Microsoft 365, AWS, or Azure).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
