Our job is to make sure that it never changes. The Change Order Specialist plays a key role in developing accurate scopes and estimates for insurance, retail, and commercial jobs. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can balance technical writing, communication with stakeholders, and timely execution. The role works closely with internal teams, public adjusters, and insurance carriers to secure approvals, maintain documentation, and support financial accuracy across projects.

Role Description and Expectations 

• Use industry software and resources to develop comprehensive scopes of work tailored to intended audiences.
• Write accurate estimates for Insurance, Retail, and Commercial projects as needed.
• Investigate and gather supporting documentation and data to ensure scope accuracy.
• Act as a liaison between the sales team, insurance carriers, and retail customers to secure agreed-upon scopes.
• Coordinate with Public Adjusters (PAs) representing Stronghouse or the customer to reach scope approvals.
• Submit estimate within 24–32 hours of receipt (no later than 72 hours, excluding weekends).
• Maintain up-to-date notes, documentation, and job statuses in CRM and customer portals.
• Create detailed financial worksheets and accurate invoices for internal and external use.
• Follow up with insurance carriers and retail clients to ensure timely and complete payment.
• Stay current with applicable building codes and industry regulations to ensure compliant scope development.
• Represent Stronghouse with professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
• Use company-provided software and tools exclusively for Stronghouse-related work.
• Adapt to evolving responsibilities in alignment with business or departmental needs

Qualifications  

• 1-2 years experience in estimating, insurance supplementation, or construction-related roles.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software for scope writing and estimating.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize competing assignments.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and customer portal platforms.
• Knowledge of insurance processes and terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communicator and collaborator.
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
• Professional and dependable with a solution-focused mindset.
