About Retirement Planners & Administrators, (RPA):
Based in Falls Church, Virginia, Retirement Planners & Administrators (RPA) is a TPA that provides 401(k) plan administration and recordkeeping services to small- and mid-sized businesses. RPA services 1,300+ 401(k), Profit Sharing, Cash Balance, and Traditional DB Plans. RPA's dedicated support and service helps their clients focus on what matters most. Position Summary:
RPA, a Strongpoint Partner, is seeking a Retirement Plan Operations Associate to join our growing team. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in retirement plan operations while working with a collaborative and supportive team. The Retirement Plan Administration team is essential to delivering timely and accurate compliance and administrative services to our clients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a fully remote position and can be performed from anywhere within the United States; however, due to the primary locations of our partners and clients, preference will be given to those in the Eastern & Central time zone(s).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Plan Compliance Analysts with importing Census information into Administration software.
- Assist in the gathering of financial information from a variety of Fund Companies and importing information into Administration Software.
- Assist in processing Distributions and Loans for Plan Participants.
- Assist with tracking workflow in PensionPro Software. Coordinate corrections of data discrepancies with client and internal teams.
- Assist Plan Compliance Analysts with reconciliation of brokerage account statements.
- Assist in the force-out of terminated participants with small balances.
- Annual compliance package assembly.
- Review and upload client 401(k) payroll files via various online platforms.
- Suggest workflow improvements and support automation initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of general administrative or work experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data and record-keeping.
- Comfortable working with multiple computer systems and software platforms.
- Able to manage high-volume, repetitive tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Highly organized and effective at prioritizing tasks.
- Problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.
Pay Transparency Statement:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $50,000-$60,000 annually.
At Strongpoint Partners, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
