Position Summary:
We are searching for a Plan Documents Associate team member to be a part of our Participant Services Team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated candidate who wants to learn and support all sides of a growing retirement TPA and financial services firm. This individual must have strong project management skills, a high level of comfort with technology, and the personality to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment by being adaptable, creative, proactive, and eager to grow in this position as it evolves with the growth of the company.
This position will have a focus on the Plan Document side of Operations, including preparation and maintenance for Plan Documents, Amendments, Summary Plan Descriptions, Participant Notices, and Client Contracts for a group of current and new clients (including both new plans and takeover plans).
PLEASE NOTE: This is a fully remote position and can be performed from anywhere within the United States; however, the selected candidate will need to accommodate a Mountain time schedule, (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm MT).
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain all service agreements and contracts for new retirement plans and conversion retirement plans.
- Work with Plan Document Specialist to help prepare plan documents, including Plan Amendments, Restatements, Summary Plan Descriptions, and Trust Custodial Account Documents.
- Prepare Short Amendments for existing clients, as requested Enter Plan Provisions into respective Recordkeeping, Investment Tracking, and Enrollment Material Databases.
- Prepare and review all 404(a)5 and 408(b)2 regulatory disclosures.
- Provide effective verbal and written communications in a clear, concise, and informative manner.
- Review documents for completeness, accuracy, and readiness before submission.
- Draft client and internal correspondence related to plan documents and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate electronic records by creating, scanning, and saving files in document management systems.
- Collaborate with team members to support document-related processes and ensure deadlines are met.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of administrative or document management experience, ideally in a professional services or financial services environment; prior experience in a customer service–oriented role.
- Ability to interpret plan documents, adoption agreements, and amendments.
- Strong written skills for reports, correspondence, and procedural documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Positive, professional demeanor with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in financial services or retirement plan administration a plus.
- ASPPA and/or NIPA credentials preferred.
- Experience with Relius Administration and/or other similar documents software system preferred.
Pay Transparency Statement:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $50,000-$60,000 annually.
At Strongpoint Partners, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
