Salesforce Technical Architect

The Salesforce Technical Architect works collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to advise, design, implement, and launch technical solutions by leveraging the Salesforce platform. The ideal candidate brings deep Salesforce platform experience and a consulting mindset to drive the successful delivery of Salesforce-centric projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design and strategy approach on client projects, serving as the authoritative technical resource to other roles and resources on the project
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, mentor, and team leader in the Studio Science Technology Services team
  • Establish a deep understanding of the defined business requirements that result in the creation of an end-to-end solution architecture that addresses articulated and unarticulated needs of a client and their end-users
  • Effectively translate contextual research, business strategy, language, and processes into solutions
  • Communicate and document technical solutions and design tradeoffs to business stakeholders
  • Think critically about how product design decisions affect our clients’ businesses
  • Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, subject matter experts, and/or clients, in a pre-sales capacity, to scope work and produce estimates to help define deliverables and timelines
  • Interact directly with customers to review requirements, manage project delivery, and obtain deliverable feedback
  • Design and implement data structure, automation, Apex classes, and Lightning components in support of product development
  • Provide guidance on source control repository and code review to ensure quality development practices and code coverage
  • Design the dev ops process for the implementation team; this includes code repository strategy, salesforce environment strategy, and an understanding of external system lower environments capabilities

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of technical experience within the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Salesforce Developer / Platform Developer I Certification or equivalent knowledge
  • Experience working on an agile-based, cross-functional project team
  • Experience with Salesforce declarative confi guration, Salesforce Lightning Platform, LWC and Apex/Visualforce/API development
  • Experience with data migration activities both inside and outside the Salesforce platform
  • Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end system testing and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with user interface development principles and experience with Salesforce Lightning Design System, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent collaboration skills
  • Ability to thrive in an environment of continual feedback; ability to address stressful situations with poise, understanding, and tact
  • Ability to effectively work remotely and in a professional manner from home in a United States-based location
  • Availability and flexibility to work with global clients across multiple time zones and for occasional travel to client sites and Studio Science headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA for any employer without the need for sponsorship now or anytime in the future

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise 

  • Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Service Cloud, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Pardot, and Salesforce Lightning Web Components
  • Experience delivering Site/Portals/Communities on the Salesforce Experience Cloud platform and Salesforce CMS (formerly Salesforce Community Cloud)
  • Experience working on projects with eCommerce enterprise applications and/or CMS, ERP, CPQ, Portals, SSO solutions
  • Experience with Salesforce ecosystem solutions including, but not limited to, CloudCraze, Demandware, Steelbrick, and Coveo
