Project Manager, Design Services

Indianapolis

Studio Science is looking for a Project Manager with proven success in managing complex digital design projects for enterprise-level clients.

This role is designed to accelerate the agency’s recent growth, and we invite applications from individuals who have experience overseeing the smooth production of all work — from briefing researchers, strategists, designers, and developers, to managing client relationships and delivering successful outcomes — while proactively driving progress and maintaining momentum to ensure work advances with focus and urgency.

Studio Science is a different kind of agency; one that prioritizes experience design to meet the needs of people, not just pushing features to production. If you’re a natural problem solver, have a passion for design, adapt quickly, and thrive by working with smart colleagues,  innovative brands, and high-growth clients, Studio Science is the place for you.

Responsibilities

Project Management (approx. 75%)

  • Facilitate all communication with multiple, cross-organizational contacts within the client organization
  • Lead kick-off and status meetings with clients
  • Record decisions, next steps, and notes during client meetings/calls and follow up with a written summary after each meeting/call
  • Facilitate both formal and informal (ad-hoc) status check-ins with clients
  • Deliver timely, tailored communication for various audiences: creative and technical teams, product managers, marketing partners, and C-level executives
  • Create, guide, and communicate the holistic (Studio Science, client, 3rd party) project plan and goals to create alignment and drive convergent implementation
  • Proactively encourage sustainable flow for your team, while keeping momentum high and ensuring key client objectives are met with urgency
  • Anticipate risks, roadblocks, and dependencies before they surface, and take quick, decisive action to keep projects on track

Account Management (approx. 25%)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and delivery teams
  • Partner with the Director(s) to identify opportunities, challenges, and potential roadblocks
  • Follow up post-engagement with clients for post-project review, etc.
  • Regularly visit your clients, usually 1–3 days per month, up to 20% of the time during kickoff or launch periods
  • Engage directly with clients managing the account details, project scope, and working relationship

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Account Management, Project Management, and/or Operations (preferably in a Professional Services or Agency setting)
  • Excellent partnership-building/maintaining skills
  • Previous experience working with creative and technical teams and an ability to translate and communicate industry terms to others in order to meet their needs
  • Proven ability to work proactively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, maintaining urgency while managing multiple projects
  • Demonstrated track record of anticipating client and team needs before they arise, and driving initiatives forward without waiting for direction
  • Ability to make informed, strategic decisions under pressure
  • Ability to foster a positive and energetic work environment
  • Exceptional work ethic and a team player
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in visual, verbal, and written form to teams, clients, and company leaders
  • Ability to thrive in an environment of continual feedback; ability to address stressful situations with poise, understanding, and tact
  • Ability to effectively work remotely and in a professional manner from home in a United States-based location
  • Availability and flexibility to work with global clients across multiple time zones and for occasional travel to client sites and Studio Science headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA for any employer without the need for sponsorship now or anytime in the future

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
