Salesforce Commerce Cloud Technical Lead

United States - Eastern or Central Time Preferred

Studio Science is a different kind of Salesforce Partner - one that prioritizes human-centered experience design alongside strong technical execution. We don’t just implement features; we shape solutions that drive meaningful business outcomes.

Studio Science is hiring a Salesforce Commerce Technical Lead to support complex enterprise commerce implementations.

We’re looking for someone with strong Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware) expertise who can lead technical direction and architecture conversations while still staying close enough to the code to support developers, guide code reviews, and help unblock delivery teams when needed.

This is not a heads-down development role. Ideal candidates will bring a mix of:

  • SFCC/Demandware architecture experience
  • Consulting/client-facing experience
  • Strong integration and enterprise commerce knowledge
  • Interest in modern commerce trends like Storefront Next, composable commerce, and AI-assisted workflows

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical architecture and delivery oversight across Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware) and broader Salesforce ecosystem implementations
  • Guide developers through technical design, code reviews, troubleshooting, integration strategy, and delivery execution
  • Support large-scale enterprise commerce implementations spanning multiple workstreams, systems, and stakeholder groups
  • Translate business and customer experience requirements into scalable Salesforce commerce solutions
  • Partner with client stakeholders in architecture discussions, roadmap planning, technical strategy conversations, and solutioning sessions
  • Provide technical leadership across integrations involving Salesforce, ERP systems, CMS platforms, APIs, middleware, identity providers, and related enterprise systems
  • Contribute to technical discovery, estimation, architecture assessments, and pre-sales conversations as needed
  • Support release planning, deployment strategy, engineering standards, and overall delivery quality
  • Stay current on modern Salesforce Commerce capabilities and ecosystem trends including Storefront Next, composable commerce, AI tooling, and evolving SFCC architecture patterns

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware) and/or enterprise Salesforce implementation experience in consulting, agency, or complex delivery environments
  • Strong experience leading technical direction across enterprise commerce implementations while remaining close enough to the code to effectively guide engineering teams
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud architecture, integrations, SFRA, and development best practices
  • Experience supporting code reviews, troubleshooting delivery issues, and mentoring developers across active implementations
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, integrations, APIs, middleware, authentication/SSO, and enterprise system design
  • Experience working directly with clients in consulting or agency-style environments
  • Familiarity with composable commerce, headless commerce, Storefront Next, and modern customer experience platforms strongly preferred
  • Experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), integrations, and broader Salesforce ecosystem tooling preferred
  • Salesforce certifications strongly preferred, especially Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Platform Developer, B2B Commerce, or Solution Architect-related certifications
  • Strong communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to thrive in an environment of continual feedback; ability to address stressful situations with poise, understanding, and tact
  • Ability to effectively work remotely and in a professional manner from home in a United States-based location
  • Availability and flexibility to work with global clients across multiple time zones and for occasional travel to client sites and Studio Science headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA for any employer without the need for sponsorship now or anytime in the future

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
