Associate Creative Director
We are seeking a contract Associate Creative Director to scale the creative direction of our brand across all of our marketing channels. As a lead designer within a dynamic, fast-paced design team, you will craft innovative, compelling, and transformative creative approaches that elevate the customer experience and drive business growth. The ideal candidate is a creative visionary with a strong track record of execution in brand design, marketing and visual design. You will be hands-on and delegating work to designers, animators and copywriters. This is a 6 month contract role.
This is a contract position. The Associate Creative Director will have 5+ years’ experience crafting branded marketing experiences, creating high quality video, photography, illustration and copy that effectively speaks to a variety of customer segments and products while maintaining uniformity with our overall brand experience.
Your portfolio should reflect a strong ability to craft impactful creative based on customer personas and leveraging channel best practices to elevate brands and drive engagement. You are experienced using AI to generate ideas and design assets and to automate parts of the creative process. You are able to take a project from early marketing strategies, competitor analysis and creative briefs, to effective storyboards, creative strategies and unified solutions.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the creative strategy and brand execution across marketing creative for our new brand – this includes video, social, and web channels.
- Work collaboratively with marketing managers, product managers, executives and delegate work to designers and copywriters to ensure high quality output overall
- Establish a team process for creative requests, leading backlog grooming meetings, managing creative projects and assigning designers to projects or execute them yourself
- Implement AI tools and workflows to automate aspects of the design process and artifact creation
- Adapt design process to the needs of each project, creating mood boards, storyboards, competitive analysis, cross-functional workshops and design execution to ensure exceptional results.
- Strategize for the future by staying ahead of industry trends, understanding business and product data and insights, and contributing ideas for evolving the brand based on quantitative and qualitative data.
- Navigate a fast-paced Agile environment requiring both self-direction and team collaboration.
What You'll Bring to the Role:
- 2+ years of Art/Creative Director experience, 3+ years of marketing and/or brand design experience
- Experience with large scale and frequent a/b testing and SEO optimization
- Experience generating branded photography, videos, illustrations and copy using GenAI
- Expert understanding of all applicable design tools
- Strong visual design skills for video, photography, illustrations, and content design
- Experience building prototypes of varying fidelities.
The pay range for this position is $60-$80 per hour. Pay and is dependent upon factors including skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
